Beautiful game, fun to play. Not quite as alive as Clear Sky, but the features are starting to get added that are similar. The real bummer, is when you get excited to see a familiar place from the older three games, and there is no one there, just a empty world. Im not a CS major, so I dont know what goes into making this work, but the older games almost felt like you had friends all over the Zone, here you dont. It was more organic with the old XRay engine, but you also had a lot more crashes back then too. Still, great game. It would be nice to have free play after finishing the game, and get out of the story line on rails sort of feeling.
Graphics are good, but that's probably only good thing about this game. World feels empty, just good-looking UE5 forests. A-Life 2.0 was promised at release, but there isn't even 1.0 in this game. I am quite surprised how they managed to create one of the worst AIs I've seen in AA-AAA games, when they're the ones who created ALife system on older Stalker titles. NPCs are bullet sponge and it doesn't feel rewarding to deal with them, if it's not "must do" in a mission. You're just spending your "precious" bullets. Which is also ironic because game is really generous with resources. Developers doesn't know how to use UE5, which leads to no optimization at all. The game is very demanding, and I can't see they're fixing it. Better to play Anomaly, which is a fan-made mod than this cash-grab game.
it's a fine game
