Yes, I would recommend this game. If you like OSRS and Skyrim... yes. I already know this has a firm grasp on my soul. It's only been 14 hours. I have 600 hours in Skyrim. I have over 100 in OSRS on Steam alone. This is the marriage between the two and it is so fun with friends. It sucks that you need a dedicated server for more than 4, but even 4 is worth it if you don't want the hassle of setting up the server. It feels very respectful of the Old School Runescape experience to me, while also bringing that world to life 3-Dimensionally. It is one part comically nostalgic yet also deeply immersive. I actually enjoy chopping the trees down and building and farming... even with the puking dragon attacks, weird fishing controls, endless mob spawns, and the structurally confusing architecture requirements for the cool af options for decorating and base building... It just brings me such joy. Please try it.

20 year plus runescape player. This is beyond what i hoped a new Runescape game would be. The graphics, combat, skills, house building...you name it! AMAZING! Its got so many things that can keep you busy for years and years! Cant wait to see what this game has in store over the next 10 plus years!

Personally, I think it's a fantastic survival game. Between the combat system and the step-by-step crafting progression, it's really well-designed. While it shares a lot of foundational mechanics with other survival games, the addition of rune and magic systems makes it stand out even more. I haven't played the original version, so this was my first time experiencing it, but I genuinely love it. As a solo player who tends to lean toward a heavy 'hack-and-slash' playstyle, I do struggle a bit at times, but overall, it's a brilliantly balanced game that really hits the spot.
