OK game but it is stuck at the "underground bank vault". Can't do anything even though it states there is a task. The help button says its not available.

Decent HOG, good (if not frequent) HOG scenes, but bad programming and/or sloppy testing: there are many game-breaking bugs. They seem to depend on the order you do things.
I loved this one. Story is great, riddles are OK. Graphics could be better, but nothing is wrong with it, tbh. What else can I say about it? It's a pretty decent HOG, recommended!
Compared to the plethora of hidden-object games published by publishers such as "AM," this felt more like an actual casual adventure/mystery with a few puzzles mixed in, including HOGs. Genuinely entertaining, though quite short (~2hr) with its plot feeling more rushed that usual in an HOG with an abrupt ending. Probably the most silly moment is the puzzle battle to beat the final "boss" though the same silly ending puzzle mechanic has been in many other games like this.
A HOG-lite adventure game from Icarus Games, Runaway Express Mystery fails to take any chances and introduces nothing new to the genre. Having said that, it is very polished with strong voice acting, sound, visuals, and the story is good enough to maintain your interest. Pros. Not many HO scenes and those that are there are more to do with finding objects that interact with other objects so that you can get a final object that is story related. There's a map with fast travel and actions required. Other than one stereotyped character, the voice acting was very good. The story progression was strong and each chapter overlapped bringing a nice conclusion that wrapped up most of the loose ends. Cons. The game was relatively short at just over 2 hours for me. Same tired old storyline of "missing relatives due to supernatural elements." Very few puzzles and those that exist weren't particularly difficult. Overall, the game is well presented and above average for the Hidden Object Adventure genre, but is more on the adventure side than the HO side with very few HO scenes and puzzles. The story is engaging enough to keep you interested and if you like or are interested in the genre, then Runaway Express Mystery is worth checking out, but it is about half as long as similar games, so try to pick it up at a discount.
A good game with decent story, good puzzles and good hidden objects scenes. + story is at some points interesting + hidden objects scenes are nice + puzzles are on good level + graphics, music and sound effects are ok - a litlle to short Overall: 6.5/10
I played this on Linux using Steam Play, and it worked perfectly (even on my low-end computer). I didn't come across any bugs that others have mentioned, although I did put clues onto the clue board as soon as I got them and it turns out that this may be why I never had any of the problems that others have found. I had a good time with this game. The hidden object parts were fairly infrequent, but they were pretty good. There were some nice instances of having to use found objects to unlock parts of the scene to find other objects (so it wasn't always just asking to find random things unrelated to the plot). Some of the puzzles were not really explained, but I didn't find it too hard to figure out what was supposed to be done. If you do have problems, you can always skip any puzzle if you don't like it. The story was the best part of this game. I was genuinely interested in what was happening (despite the old trope of having to find your kidnapped children). A lot of the case-solving was just hunting for hot-spots that indicate something to do, I still felt like I was really searching for the clues. Overall, I'm glad that I played this game.
