About
ROOM 0 is a short first-person horror game about an abandoned facility, a missing girl, and a place that should have never been opened.
You play as a detective sent to investigate the disappearance of Carla. Her last known trace leads to a forgotten research site, sealed away after an incident no one seems willing to explain.
The building is silent, but not empty.
Old equipment still hums in the dark.
Doors lead to rooms that should have been cleared years ago.
Scattered through the facility are tapes, traces, and fragments of something that was never meant to leave the walls of Room 0.
Your only tool is a vintage VHS Camcorder, an artifact of the facility's past that now serves as your only window into its lethal present.
Carla entered the facility before you.
What she found inside is unclear. What remains of her investigation is scattered across the building, hidden in recordings and signs of movement where there should be none.
The deeper you go, the more you uncover.
The facility was closed for a reason.
The halls are quiet to the naked eye, but the air is thick with a presence that cannot be seen directly.
It watches from the darkness, and it reacts to your presence.
The threat is invisible to you, but through the lens of the camcorder, it is undeniable.
To navigate the facility is to make a choice: trust your senses and remain blind, or raise the camera and bear witness to what is hunting you.

Not the greatest looking game that appears to be a hidden movement style horror game. This means you have no visual of the monster and you randomly encounter it. This style works great for jumpscares but not so great for investigation style games which this is. I would give it a neutral rating if it existed but because I didn't enjoy the experience it will be negative from me.
this game demonstrate that even with a low budget, a game can actually scares you
idk I got more annoyed with this game than anything else since it involves finding VHS tapes that are hard to spot plus deal with invis monster that you can only see through your battery annihilator camera that has a few second delay. Back to the batteries for the camera though, you can't stack batteries at all and the camera eats through them fast so good luck with that. Things were not clear on what to do in this game at all either since I wasted time looking for a password for the pc only to realize when looking at the game trailer that it was "ROOM 0." anyway I could ramble on some more but this game ain't it chief https://youtu.be/pEWuhKV3jWs

Nice indie game. It's free and worth your time, give it a try
Room 0 is a short first person horror game that puts me in the role of a detective investigating the disappearance of a girl named Carla. Her last known location is an abandoned research facility that was sealed after some kind of incident, so I already know I am walking into somewhere that was not meant to be opened again. The game keeps things focused on exploring the facility, finding clues and trying to understand what happened. I like that the setup is simple because it gets me into the mystery quickly instead of spending ages explaining the world. The VHS camcorder is easily the part I find most interesting. It is not just there to make the game look like an old horror video. The camera is actually important because the thing hunting me cannot be properly seen with my normal vision, while looking through the camcorder reveals it. That creates a nice choice when I am moving through the dark. I want to use the camera to understand what is around me, but I also have to manage my battery and fear. It makes exploring a quiet hallway more stressful than it would normally be because I never feel completely comfortable just walking forward. The atmosphere is probably the strongest thing about Room 0. The abandoned facility has the right kind of emptiness for this type of horror, with old equipment still running and rooms that look like they have been left behind after something went badly wrong. The VHS and CRT effects also fit the setting without completely taking over the screen. I especially like the idea of finding recordings and following traces left behind by Carla because it gives me something to actively investigate instead of relying entirely on random scares. The distorted audio helps too, since the sound can make the facility feel threatening even when nothing obvious is happening. The biggest weakness is the length. Room 0 is specifically designed as a short horror experience, and I can feel that while playing. The mystery gets me interested, but there is not enough time for the facility or its story to become as developed as I would have liked. I get the basic investigation, find VHS recordings and gradually work out what happened, but I finish before the game has much chance to build a really complicated mystery. I do not think the short length is necessarily bad for a free game, but it definitely limits how much I can get from the idea. I also think the actual gameplay is fairly basic. Most of my time is spent exploring, looking for clues and trying not to get caught by whatever is inside the facility. There are hidden objects and puzzles, but this is much more about atmosphere and tension than having difficult puzzles or deep survival mechanics. That works for me because I enjoy slower horror games, but I would have liked a little more variety in what I could actually do. The fear and battery systems give the exploration some extra pressure, although I think they could have been pushed further. Another thing I appreciate is that the game is completely free. That makes the short campaign much easier to accept because I am not being asked to pay for a few hours of horror. The developer has also been clear that the core game design, programming, art direction and gameplay systems were made by the human team, while AI was used to help with localisation. I think the game has a clear identity despite being a small project, especially with the camcorder mechanic and the abandoned research facility setting. Overall, Room 0 is a solid little horror game that gets most of its value from atmosphere and its camcorder mechanic. I like investigating the facility, following Carla's trail and having to use the camera to see what is actually hunting me. The short length, simple puzzles and limited gameplay variety stop it from reaching the higher ratings I would give to a much deeper horror game, but I still think the main idea works well. For a free and fairly compact horror experience, it gives me enough tension and mystery to make the trip into Room 0 worthwhile. Rating: 6.8/10
we need chinese!!!
镜中方见幽暗客,电池将尽不敢抬♥
