This game is actually very good. Mechanics and Physics are close to Rocket League but still a bit different, which offers a nice and a little refreshing handling experience. Maps and level design are well made, some of them really look well thought through and beautiful. The game offers you various challenges and difficulty levels. You can either just try to complete the level, aim for 3 stars, speedrun without caring about stars or speedrun and collect all 3 stars. The last one is a grind, which I went through in one of the levels to get number one on the leaderboard and I probably won't be there for long, because it's so fun to grind out these levels. For a one man project this is absolutely astounding. The soundtrack is also nice, although I prefer to mute the music and let my own play in the background to go for a more relaxed and chill ambient. A minor issue that I have is that the achievements apparently weren't syncing up with the game, since I beat all levels (including the boss) and didn't get the achievement :/ To anybody who likes Rocket League and/or speedrunning, this is a must have!

as a rocket league player this is what I expected rocket racing to be, BUT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THIS GAME IS DIFFICULT
Had my eye on this one once it hit its 1.0 release. Got on sale for under $5. Quality rocket league mechanics inspired time trial game featuring its own unique twists to the genre. A ton of levels to play, in-game items to unlock (no micro transactions), and a great playlist to vibe off of. Nothing will get you stuck in a loop of improving your times more than seeing your own ghost lap you... Definitely worth the full purchase price of $10. Dev team clearly put some love into this one.
Rocket Assault is wonderful and easily worth the price. It aces almost every aspect and it’s clearly made with love. However, I’m giving it a thumbs down as a warning and to emphasise by who it should only be played. Saying the game is overtuned does not stress the severity of the word. The controls are very technical and difficult to master (on a DualShock 4 controller). This being a challenge enough in itself, the levels are also designed devilishly where perfection is demanded. On top of all that, the speed run times you need to achieve 3 stars do not allow you to make a single mistake. Honestly, I find it incredibly weird and misleading how the game’s steam page doesn’t have a single mention/word about challenge. In fact, just trying to complete levels without caring about stars is incredibly hard. I gave up with level 20 (out of 21) because there are 2 gates that will close if you’re not fast enough, it’s not possible to complete that level after trying for a couple of hours. I spent over 26 hours as a whole and got 3 stars on 18 levels. I was still willing to put up with all the bullsh*t but that level took away all motivation I had left. Rocket Assault is the most difficult racing game I’ve played and one of the most difficult games period. And so, I advise anyone who isn’t super hardcore nor a masochist to stay away from the game. Please take this warning seriously.
I bought this game for 7.80 € and played it for 8 hours to see if the game is your monies worth I made a video about the game: https://youtu.be/nCdR36JbbGY I rated the game on these three simple categories: Gameplay (4/5) Content (5/5) Monies Worth (4/5) If you like chasing the highest medals in games like Trackmania, Rocket Assault will definitely your monies worth
Its a clean update. But my car still does not spawn on the map so it is unplayable for the community. I tried reinstalling but it is still not working. Pls fix. because this game has potential!
Ну хоть в этой игре я не бронза 1
It is basicly Rocket League without the ball but with more action! It is really fun and addicting (unlike Rocket League) and worth every cent. Even the training mode is worth the 10 bucks alone. If you are tired of the other game i mentioned way too often in this review, go for it and try it yourself!
Good game. Loving almost identical rocket league mechanics (but still fresh and sometimes even better). Got this from sale so for the price game is good. Definitely worth it for couple of euros if you like games like Trackmania or Rocket league. But man i'm bad at this even though i have almost 800 hours in rocket league... This might also improve rocket league aerials.
