If you like the original 2 Robocop movies (There was no 3 and the new one is an abomination unto god) then this one might just be for you. Robo is propper stompy and move like an unstoppable tank rather than dart around like most modern games. This means your aim has to be fast and on point, your read of the enviroment and possible collaterals is very important (watch out for those landmines) and pick of skills is more important than at first glance. If you want to run around like a ferret on speed, then this might not be for you. Plenty of side-missions and little winks and nudges to the cinematic universe, and a quirky sense of humor.
Bro I loved it!
прикольно
The game itself is great, just don't try to play on anything other than one computer. Cloud saves will mess things up horribly. Or turn cloud saves off all togather. So I beat the game, started a NG+ life was good, beat the game again. Played on a desktop and laptop and somewhere along the way something got corrupt in cloud saves and my next NG+ kept restarting at the last level I couldn't start a new game. So I contacted support. After a lot of back and forth they basically said sorry we can't fix this and can't give you a new save state to start from so start all over. Seriously start over? So I start over and guess what, the PCBs I pickup are now no longer reconized? So I can't actually start over and still support is like sorry. I won't be buying anything else from these guys. The correct action for support would be to provide a NG+ save state after confirming I did in fact have one previously. Or providing that after confirming the game now has issues with it's save states. This is a buggy mess and even if it's on sale I wouldn't buy this unless you only have one computer to play it on. Even then it still might cause you a massive amount of frustration.
Buy it on sale. Its a decent fps game but the only thing special about it is its a Robocop game. The story is ok but its lacking the satire from the movies so it misses the mark unfortunately. It gets very repetitive after a few hours and its heavily scripted. I don't see any replay value in it beyond the first playthrough. I didn't have any technical problems or bugs on my playthrough.
Worth it.
A pleasant shooter, but not much more than that.
The campaign itself isn't particularly impressive. The story is serviceable, but it never really manages to stand out.
The good
The biggest strength of the game is how much love was put into the original movies. There are tons of references to the first and second RoboCop movies: familiar characters, weapons, locations, plot elements and recreated scenes. There are also plenty of small details that fans will appreciate. The atmosphere of the original movies is captured surprisingly well, and hearing Basil Poledouris' iconic music makes it even better. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end for me.
The bad
The weapon system is rather disappointing. You can pick up different weapons from enemies, but most of them feel almost pointless compared to the default Auto-9. They have limited ammunition and often don't offer enough firepower or utility to make switching weapons worthwhile. The skill system is also underwhelming. There are plenty of upgrades, but many of them feel like small, mostly insignificant bonuses rather than meaningful character progression. I rarely felt that upgrading a skill substantially changed the way I played.
Overall
RoboCop: Rogue City is a decent old-school shooter and a very good love letter to the first two RoboCop movies. If you're a RoboCop fan, there is a lot to enjoy here. If you're looking for a deep shooter or a particularly memorable story, there isn't much beyond the fan service. Recommended for RoboCop fans, especially on sale.
Love it!
Boring. Uninspired. Basic. If you are a bunch a newbies, cool. You made a game that functions on a technical level. Now, try and find out what makes a game fun. Best wishes on your future growth and projects.
