Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 27 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You’re not just running a video rental store.
You’re running out of time.
RUN THE WORLD'S LAST VIDEO RENTAL STORE
You’ve inherited the last video rental store in town. You're broke, drowning in late returns, and streaming giant RentNet just opened across the street.
Run your store by day.
Do whatever it takes to survive by night.
The longer you stay in business, the more chaotic things become.
Order movies, snacks, toys, and rare collectibles. Stock shelves, manage customers, and expand your store from a dying shop into a thriving business.
Hire employees, automate operations, and optimize every inch of your store.
Every decision determines whether you survive another week.
Oh and did we mention we have PLENTY of store customization options?
The store alone isn’t enough.
Run underground fight clubs. Gamble on scratcher tickets. Install a claw machine. Take on shady side hustles across the city.
Some will make you rich.
Some will ruin you.
Produce and release your own original films to compete with RentNet.
Manage production, release films, and turn your store into something far bigger than a rental shop.
Explore a low-poly open city by foot or scooter. Discover secrets, track NPC schedules, and unlock increasingly dangerous and lucrative opportunities.
Run the store alone or with friends in co-op multiplayer. PLEASE NOTE: Co-op is temporarily disabled in the main build due to performance instability. Saves you create now will be co-op compatible when it returns.
To play co-op today, switch to the Legacy branch (right-click the game in your Library → Properties → Betas → "Legacy"), which runs the June build and your older saves.
Restoring co-op is our top priority. Timeline to follow here and in our Discord once 1.0 hotfixes settle.
Divide responsibilities, expand faster, and take bigger risks together.

this game felt empty when in early access but now it utterly unplayable with the recent update. not only did it disable most of it features but it forces you to start a whole new game file. unacceptable! not to mention ive read from too many people that theyre making fake reviews? yeah unless i see a real update with genuine improvements i will not be picking this game back up. so disappointed
For what's supposed to be a 1.0 release, their most recent update is incredibly unpolished and has more bugs than I think I have ever experienced playing the game previously. The new content added is still very minimal (in replacing the customer negotiation with beating the tapes out of them, it's introduced a new bug where I now physically cannot locate and collect from customers that have overdue tapes as they do not appear where the compass marker says they are) and the game feels nowhere near the finished state it's claimed to be at. It's fun for an hour, and then the game starts falling apart.

I wanna love this game so badly... it's just so full of bugs that - and I'm truly not exaggerating - the game is entirely unplayable. I love everything about it: the graphics, the atmosphere, the concept... but this game in its current state is again, UNPLAYABLE. I understand fixes take time so I implore the devs to take their time and get this game right. Again, fantastic game, but I cannot recommend it in its current state. I can't wait for it to be fixed.
I do not understand how this was released as a "1.0" - it just does not make any sense, even after playing the hotfixes. This is in no way a "finished" game. It is a buggy mess, where no systems seem to be working like they should. Bugs and errors that have been "fixed" according to Patchnotes still persist. I do not trust these developers and will refund this purchase.
so bought the game for friends so we could do co-op and the day I bought it co-op is turned off so till I see things get fixed Ill leave this here, but we'll see how this goes and if this gets changed or not.
I purchased in Early Access and listened to the promises of making the game stable. It never happened. Just repetitive attempts at lingering on to make more money from this failed release. They even took it out of early access with a completely redesigned version that was barebones....and it still had all of the bugs. Be wise and stay away from these devs.
ok I am going to have to give this a big Thumbs down right now. The game has something there BUT the many many bugs in the game ruin it completely. Side Hustles = does not work so your locked out of half the stuff that should unlock for you and dont. There is no way to level up your side hustle to purchase newer items. All current side hustle items still state 0 owned when you have one in the shop (and can only have 1, bought a 2nd of 2 items but would not let me place - maximum allowed in use already, but says 0 in use on stats. Customers never use them either. Restocking Issues - snacks/drinks/toys placed randomly on any shelf, so you can end up with these items being placed and mixed together on any shelf in the store. Restocking issue (videos) - once these have been returned the stockers do NOT replace on shelves in the shop, they place them on the storage shelves in the back. Its painful sorting all this out, that i have had no option but to sack the NPC's and the only thing thats working (as far as i know) is the checkouts (but i guess these may be bugged in some way) i just havent noticed it yet. With those is enough to more or less start to ruin this game for me and untill they do fix (if ever) this thumbs down review will have to remain).
Core issues that appeared in the Early Access release are still present in the full release. So disappointed! This game has a lot of promise, but even more bugs! I'd steer clear of this until the issues are addressed, but I don't have much faith that the developer will ever address some of the issues since they have been there since the beginning.
mustache
I waited for this game to cook a bit before i got back on cause the updates seemed promising but all i came back to is my save file being erased and co-op being removed to be "worked on" i am beyond upset.
