About
Build and manage your ultimate retro arcade! Buy classic Arcade Machines, Galaxy Pinball, and Gift Claw games, or invest in Cinema 8D, Go-Karts, and Racing Simulators. Manage the economy, hire staff, and keep every machine running!
Step into the neon-lit world of the past and build the ultimate entertainment center in Retro Arcade Shop Simulator. Start with a humble, dusty venue and gradually transform it into a booming, large-scale arcade business. Buy nostalgic arcade cabinets, organize your floor plan to maximize customer flow, and watch the tokens roll in. Whether you want to recreate a cozy 80s hangout spot or build a massive, multi-room gaming paradise, you have the tools to bring your retro tycoon dreams to life.
Growing your business takes more than plugging in a few machines. You’ll need to manage a token economy across four different currencies, watch your hourly income, and take out bank loans to fund your expansions.
Unlock up to 10 unique rooms and fill them with a variety of attractions. Offer your customers classic Air Hockey, Pinball, and Whack-A-Mole, or invest in high-end Plane Simulators, Bowling Alleys, Go-Kart tracks, and immersive 8D Cinemas. When crowds get overwhelming, hire cashiers, cafeteria workers, and token collectors so no customer ever waits in line.
Make the arcade truly yours with deep interior customization. Choose from dozens of wall and floor textures, add vibrant graffiti murals, and set the perfect mood with neon lighting, signs, and decorative plants. You’ll also need to keep your customers fueled by managing a cafeteria - serve burgers, pour drinks, and sell gaming magazines or CDs to maximize your daily profits.
Heavy use takes its toll. Cabinets break down, screens go dark, and a dead machine is a machine that isn't making you money. Service and repair your hardware, mop the floors, empty the token boxes, and keep the whole venue in working order. Do it all yourself to save money in the early days, then hire repairmen and cleaners once the crowds get too big to handle alone. Blend relaxing business progression with an unforgettable nostalgic atmosphere and become the ultimate arcade tycoon!

I sat down thinking I’d play for just a few minutes, and before I knew it, hours had passed. If you love retro games, this is definitely worth checking out. The retro atmosphere is fantastic, and building and upgrading your own shop is much more addictive than I expected. I really enjoyed it!
Just like a real Arcade, these buggers keep stealing all the tokens.

It's not bad, but I can't recommend it. Progression feels really fast to the point where it isn't that rewarding. Employees are so easy to unlock that you never really engage with any game mechanics besides restocking things... Which is super weird, because I feel like employees that stock shelves for you are like the first thing most people want to delegate in a game like this. My theory is that since there isn't any "alternative" goal like playing the games in the arcade for the player to engage with, the devs decided that leaving stocking up to the player was the best way to keep them engaged... But really it made me feel like a line level employee in an arcade I'm supposedly owning and operating. If you're looking for something to kill a few hours, it'll do the trick, but I don't know that you'd ever launch it again after the first session.
tres bon jeu
I was really excited for this one, and brutally let down as of now. First, the art might be “inspired” by AI and edited by humans but looks straight up AI generated with zero edits other than to wrap the game model. It wasn’t needed, and definitely cheapens the game. I’d prefer ms paint art. Second, the tokens being increasing in value and four different types is a dumb mechanic. Tokens are fine, have some games require more and make the token boxes bigger. Or, have it be modern D&B style with reloadable cards and use the desk and kiosks for that. MAKE SOME OF THE EMPLOYEES FEMALE AND POC. Right now, they’re all 20-30’s white dudes. And good lord, don’t make them look like cell phone salesmen at Best Buy. Gross. The coffee bags not being able to be placed on the shelf in the cafeteria is a misstep and it makes me mad whenever I see it. It’s there, let us do it. The check-in desk should be a wall kiosk not needing an employee. See above with the cards. Selling games and magazines doesn’t fit an arcade vibe at all. Have certain game machines that generate tickets (skeeball, other skill-based games) and cash them out for prizes. As folks redeem tickets for prizes, it costs cash to restock the prizes. Bonus, ticket counting machines and an employee to work the counter. The vending machines have too many products. I can’t keep track of them all and organizing them is a mess. Do the basics that can fit uniformly in the machine. Drink machine is five rows? Five different options. More options for the claw machines with different types of prizes. More cut the rope and other similar games. Let us sell unused furniture. More decor options for wall art. The tiny posters are not enough. Money comes too easily. Games like these usually swing too hard in one direction or the other, so this isn’t a specific issue of this game. It’s a delicate balance of earning enough to purchase upgrades, but not being so flush with cash that you can buy whatever you want whenever you want. I hope the dev team takes feedback from the players and patches changes to improve the game. I’ll keep an eye on it and will change my review according to how the experience evolves.
A great start to a great game. I am loving these retro simulation games and this one is definitely no let down. I have been playing it for some hours straight now and only experience a few issues which were solved with a reload of the game. Besides the progression feeling too fast and me being afraid that I have soon reached the end of new unlocks, there are a lot of fun and good stuff to experience with designing your own arcade store, adding details, expanding and seeing how what you have put together work like a charm.... or look like utter chaos depending on which directing in design you take ;-)
Had to return game i wish more games were game controller friendly not everyone uses mouse and keyboard. Game looked fun but there was no way to play game
In diesem Sinne, habt Spaß 😊
