Rec Room

Rec room was one of the first vr games I ever played, and has impacted me as a person more than any other. I will always remember the days of logging on with friends to play Paintball or Golden Trophy for hours on end. The moments I shared with others in this game have made me the person I am today. The game was a miracle to have ever become so successful and I will truly miss it. Rec room was the definition of a 10/10

For what I did play this game was so fun. I played it a bit on Oculus, mainly paintball. But that was some of the most fun I think I had in VR. I am not gonna larp like I had 20k plus hours. But the time that I played it, it was real good. Rest In AWESOMNESS Rec Room.

Ocu ic doma

When the world needed it most, it was there, and when its purpose was fulfilled, it left for home. Much of my survival during the pandemic lockdown can be attributed to this game and its (for the most part) awesome community. It was fun, it held my head above the water, and in the end I made it through the other side okay. When the devs started pushing more and more iffy monetization strategies, I was pretty sad. They began as quite unobtrusive, and I had an RR+ membership for quite a long time. When the games that were pushed to the front page started becoming more and more lazy, just games that were made so that players could spend the Tokens on them, I stopped playing it so often, then stopped altogether. I felt like it went from passion projects to just the quickest and laziest ideas, and I didn't feel the heart anymore. I had mixed feelings about the shutdown. Obviously, I was pretty sad about it since I felt like it was the sole reason I made it through lockdown and I had such a great time with it for multiple years, but at the same time it was clear that it had reached the end of its lifespan. In the end, I'll always be grateful for how it helped me when I really needed it, but I don't regret leaving it behind. Remember to be excellent to each other :]

This game means a lot to me and a lot of others. Its sad to see it go away for good which still makes me want to cry thinking about it after all the memories we've all had. It was the "College" that no one wanted to graduate from because we got to meet a lot of new and different people. We got see all the cool and awesome stuff that they all made too. Its sad that we can no longer play because we all have graduated from this college and need to move on.
