About
Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe.
As the commander of an immensely powerful star destroyer, you’ll battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer – or maybe a little of each! Buy larger and more powerful craft with your hard-earned credits, and outfit them with a variety of wicked weapons and defenses. Set in a galaxy of fantastic sights, and secrets to be found, Rebel Galaxy is above all a space epic of adventure, exploration, and combat.
The edge of the universe is a pretty dangerous place, so watch your back.

Reviews
Eh. Feels very sluggish, which I'd be okay with if the combat felt less... Plodding?
I just keep coming back to this game every few years or so. There is nothing else on the market that captures the vibe.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Easily one of the best bang for your buck space games. 2D naval space combat is definitely interesting, but a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Exploration was very satisfying and there's a solid variety to the missions and enemy types. Mining was a bit slow but it usually is in most space games. Hits alot of the key notes from games like Elite Dangerous or X3/X4 but in a smaller, simplified package. Campaign took me about 35ish hours but I was taking my time until right near the end and there's still alot of side stuff I intend to go back and finish. TL;DR Definitely worth the price and honestly it's pretty amazing to see such a good, polished and fun space game developed by only a few people.
SO SO!
Basic single plane space game. It turned me off at first but I gave it 10 more min and I decided to not care about the limited flying, if u get over that you might have a good time. Rouge captains all say the same thing before they die is a little annoying but they die so fast its almost comedic.
Rebel Galaxy is a music album with a game, fun, very simple to learn 20 hours of entertainment main story line mission.
what are we, some kind of rebels in this galaxy?
I am not a criminal
This game can be a lot of fun, if one masters the strategic use of the various weapons available. Which I din't, because it takes a lot of serious brain activity... That being said, it stil is fun, even if the idea of a space naval battle simulator, wouldn't be the first thing I would come up with. Also, there is an (mediocre) underlying story to keep things interesting, until the uninteresting conclusion (of the story - the game is open ended). Btw, the sound effects are gorgious (Let's just say there is a sound emulator). The songs are a bit tiresome. Matter of personal taste.
Cool space flying combat and trading game. Kinda like freelancer meets elite dangerous. The pseudo-3D-but-really-2D space is interesting and makes flying and navigation a lot easier :) Indie production shows, but they got voice actin' at least. Plot is very thin and it does get kinda grindy if you want to do a lot of (autogenerated feels like) missions to get money to be able to buy the best ship and weapons. Finished plot with 48 hours played and 48 M net worth and a Dreadnaught, can prolly be done in half of that time. Very loud music! More A/AA space games but with a proper story and RPG-elements in this genre would be awesome (looking at you Starfield, cough). I'll give it a 6/10, it was a nice smaller project to give a whirl.
