[h1]TLDR "Real Warfare 1242" Review[/h1] Real Warfare 1242 is a medieval strategy game similar to the Total War genre of games.This game was released in 2011 and visually it is a decent looking game.Character models,enviroment detail and scenery is still to this day good looking in my opinion.Unlike Total War games,Real Warfare 1242 does not have a campaign map and features only large scale battles between various factions.This game has only a handful of scenarios available and even those handful scenarios are boring or unbalanced.Unit variety is good and each faction has special units named after historical leaders.I did not check the historical accuracy of the game but I saw a few comments criticising this aspect. In terms of gameplay,Real Warfare 1242 plays like a Total War game on a ''budget''.Bad animations,seemingly no unit collision and impact,archers are pretty weak and seem to not deal damage and the game has plenty of bugs like invincible battering ram units and random flying projectiles.Random crashes also occur during gameplay.[u]Another problem is that in order to actually play the game,some people owning Nvidia video cards need to enter the game configuration section and disable pseudo HDR and Pixel Light on Grass.I found this fix thanks to this user : https://steamcommunity.com/app/46350/discussions/0/612823460264420096[/u] The AI is not good either and the UI is ugly and unintuitive.One of the good things about the game is the main menu screen.The game tried to copy Total War games but they did everything worse.The soundtrack is annoying,loading screen tips are mostly boring quotes and in-game managament of units is tiresome.Also the game has huge performance issues making it frustrating to play bigger battles.Real Warfare 1242 does not feature siege maps like the Total War titles. I see no point in playing this title when even older games like Total War : Rome released in 2004 or Medieval : Total War 2 from 2006 are way better.I did not play the First Total War : Medieval from 2002 but I think even that game can be more fun than this.

It's scenario based combat like the scenarios in total war. As a game, it's actually playable. It's basically total war, except not as good. If you've played out total war and need more battles then this game is ok but it's for hardcore players only I think. I had the settings to max and it was stuttering a bit so I lowered them and then I could see the terrain all looked kind of like squares, so it doesn't really run well. Bonus points for the mongolian throat singing music, I enjoyed it.

If you find the game displays only black on screen, then turn off HDR lighting in the effect options.

No matter what I can't even run this game, it stop in configuration window and even there I have like 2fps and then it crushed, any compability options, run as administrator or anything doesn't help, 1950x, 2080, win10

[h1] История подорванного пукана [/h1] Как коллекционер игр, я покупаю всё что могу осилить. Купил я эту игру за 15 рублей(ключ) Разгрузив библиотеку я решился пройти каждую купленную игру и дело дошло до неё. Real Warfare 1242 ака Александр Невский, ака ещё +150млн названий, игра нервотрёп. Как фанат стратегий я и не ожидал такого пиздеца. Ближе к делу. Цель разработчиков была воссоздать что-то своё, на основе механик Тотал Вара. Получилось у них, конечно же дишманская копия. Игра отвратительно отпимизирована. Управление не послушное. Музыка в игре на уровне неплохо-мало. Интерфейс слишком нудный. Его много и большенство информации попросту лишнее. Нации в игре отличаются внешним видом и всё. Особо отличий нет. Пройдя сюжетку я был в таком ♥♥♥♥. Все мисси конечно разнообразны в плане подхода, да и озвучка на уровне, но все заканчивается на том чтобы уничтожить вражескую армию. ВСЁ. Как человек который играет игры жанра стратегии в реальном времени, с 7 лет. Это игра показалась мне ♥♥♥♥♥♥ сложной. Сложна она по выше пеерчисленным косякам. Я игру не советую как обычному игроку. Но если вы коллекционер, то пожалуйста.
