Recomendo!!
Simple and great game. Visually pleasing and the soundtracks are pretty decent. Controls are tight, deaths never feel cheap.

As far as being a call back to old fashioned platformer games, Ravva and the Cyclops Curse is rather charming. The music is fun, the stages are interesting, at first, and overall I enjoyed my experience playing it to the end. But I do have a few things to say in regards to game play. The way to fight is very simple. It's experimentation to find the right summon for the situation. It's really simple, and, generally speaking, you have time to experiment with options early on. But on that note, many enemies are immune to some summons, most likely to keep the game a bit more difficult, but later on, they remove the testing you got to do, and require you to be a tad lucky on choice. Though, short of invincible enemies, your basic shot always works. I feel that that isn't a bad thing, per se, but each player will be different. Stages are designed with simple maneuvering to do, and ways to go. Jumping near the end of the game also gets rather precise, and sometimes, you don't realize a jump 3 jumps ago needed to be preceded by a water shot and/or green burst. But that's learning a game. The thing that bogs it down a bit is the last power: The eye. To get around some spots, you need to use it to find new ways to move. The issue tends to be needing to clear the area first, and realizing that the eye doesn't normally do anything to enemies. Many many many bonus orbs are hidden by needing the eye to reveal them, but warning, you're on a time limit. If score matters to you, this is kind of annoying. But if you're just looking to finish the stage, it doesn't mean anything, minus the power up for your base shot, and the oh so precious 1-up's. Later stages are not designed to let you use the eye much for that, short of finding the way forward. Hidden stuff is fun to find, but not when it can be obtuse at times. Speaking of obtuse, there are some moments where a bonus orb get's missed because the screen hadn't moved far enough to reveal that an action denied the player access to it. I think 3-1 or 3-2 is what I'm thinking about in that regard. It wasn't nice to know that a break block I tapped by accident faded away and denied me an orb. But ah well. It isn't like I'd have to play the whole game over again just to get one orb...oh... Lastly, the score and timer. These things work in opposition when you want to explore and 'eye' every single pixel for stuff. I understand the concept of wanting to replicate the 'NES hard' kind of games. And if that's the intent, then I just need to be quiet. I just didn't appreciate wanting to check everything, but also needing to do it quickly/dangerously. Personal pet peeve on that. It's short, but not 'easy'. And the last boss is a short learning game. It's likely everyone loses a life to them once, at least. Give the game a chance.
No geral, Ravva and the Cyclops Curse é um excelente começo do estúdio Galope na Steam. Uma experiência curta, mas marcante. Recomendo sem pensar duas vezes!
Two words : fun and cute
Clearly someone's first game. Some experiments are just not very fun.
