Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I beat the game in 13 minutes so now I ask myself "was it worth $3?" Hell yeah it was. There aren't enough games like this and I can't replay SEUM and Neon White so this was a really fun quick fix to those speedrunning masterpieces. If it was any longer I might have cried for my wrist.
leaderboard = infinite replayability. Except when you are #1 like me
this idea is great, but the fact that you cant quit to the main menu, and there is also no pause menu, and no settings (which means i cant change the slow mouse sensitivity) ruined my fun.

Fast paced runner game, very fun beating my old records. One of the only games that makes me mad but I just cant stop playing.
My right hand hurts, how am I supposed to do the naughty with my main hand now?
Rain Runner is a first-person precision platformer developed by SkyBrave and published by TENSTACK that focuses entirely on movement mastery, speedrunning principles, and mechanical skill development. Rather than building itself around story progression, exploration systems, or combat depth, the game strips away nearly every distraction and concentrates on pure execution. It delivers an experience centered on repetition, improvement, and learning through failure, creating a challenge-driven platformer where progress comes entirely from player skill rather than upgrades or unlockable advantages. The game's strongest defining feature appears immediately through its movement system. Unlike traditional first-person platformers that rely heavily on keyboard movement combined with camera control, Rain Runner introduces an unusual mechanic where players automatically move toward the direction they are looking. Mouse movement becomes navigation. Precision aiming becomes positioning. Every turn and adjustment directly influences momentum and survival. This approach creates an experience that initially feels unfamiliar but gradually develops into something highly rewarding once players adapt to its rhythm. That learning curve forms the core of Rain Runner’s identity. Early attempts often feel difficult because standard movement instincts no longer apply cleanly. Players must rebuild muscle memory around an entirely different philosophy of movement. Mistakes happen frequently. Platforming sections punish hesitation and inconsistency. However, the game succeeds because improvement feels measurable. Sections that initially seem impossible slowly become manageable through practice and repetition. Rain Runner fully embraces speedrunning culture as a design philosophy rather than treating it as optional post-game content. The structure encourages optimization from the beginning. Players are not simply trying to survive difficult sections. They are learning routes, improving execution, and refining movement efficiency with every attempt. Faster completion times naturally become motivation for replayability. The level design supports this structure effectively. Twenty-five handcrafted stages provide increasingly demanding challenges that gradually introduce more complicated movement situations and environmental obstacles. Difficulty progression remains steady, allowing players to build confidence before introducing more demanding precision tests. The game avoids overwhelming players immediately and instead creates a smoother process of mastery. Combat elements remain lightweight but still contribute variety to progression. Shooting mechanics integrate naturally into movement sequences, forcing players to balance accuracy and speed simultaneously. The combination helps prevent platforming from becoming mechanically repetitive while reinforcing the central focus on precision and execution under pressure. One of Rain Runner’s strongest achievements comes from how satisfying improvement feels over time. Success rarely depends on luck. Faster completion times and cleaner movement routes emerge entirely through player growth. Difficult jumps eventually become routine. Complex sections slowly transform into opportunities for optimization. The game consistently rewards persistence rather than artificial progression systems. The lack of checkpoints creates another important aspect of the experience. Rain Runner expects commitment and patience from players. Failed attempts often mean restarting larger sections rather than immediately continuing where mistakes happened. This design choice increases tension considerably because every movement carries weight. It also reinforces the larger speedrunning philosophy that improvement comes through consistency rather than safety nets. The shorter overall runtime works surprisingly well within the game's design goals. A complete run can be relatively brief once players fully understand mechanics and routes. However, mastery naturally extends playtime far beyond initial completion. Rain Runner clearly understands that replayability built around skill improvement can remain compelling without requiring massive amounts of content. Leaderboards strengthen this idea further by encouraging competition and route optimization. Players interested in chasing faster times gain additional motivation to refine movement and perfect execution. The structure supports long-term replay value despite the game's focused scope. Visually, Rain Runner adopts a minimalist presentation style that prioritizes clarity over complexity. Platforming precision remains central to gameplay, and cleaner visual design ensures environmental readability stays strong even during faster sequences. The game avoids visual overload that could interfere with movement precision. Simplicity becomes an advantage rather than a limitation. The soundtrack complements the pacing effectively as well. Audio supports momentum without becoming distracting during difficult sections that require concentration. Fast movement combined with energetic sound design helps reinforce the game's arcade-like rhythm. Rain Runner's difficulty naturally limits accessibility. Players looking for more relaxed progression or forgiving platforming systems may struggle with its demanding approach. The game expects patience and rewards persistence rather than immediate success. Failure becomes part of progression rather than punishment. Its highly specialized design philosophy may also divide audiences. Players seeking story development, exploration systems, or gameplay variety beyond movement mastery may find the focused structure intentionally narrow. Rain Runner remains committed almost entirely to platforming execution and mechanical growth. However, that focus also becomes one of its greatest strengths. SkyBrave and TENSTACK avoid unnecessary complexity and instead build an experience around one central idea executed with confidence. Every mechanic supports movement mastery. Every level reinforces skill development. The result feels cohesive because the game never loses sight of its purpose. Its strongest moments appear when difficult mechanics stop feeling unfamiliar and begin feeling natural. Movement becomes smoother. Routes become cleaner. Faster completion times become achievable. Rain Runner understands that personal improvement can become one of gaming’s most satisfying rewards. For players who enjoy demanding platformers, speedrunning challenges, precision movement systems, and games built around mastery rather than progression systems, Rain Runner delivers a focused and rewarding experience that transforms repetition into one of its greatest strengths. Run. Dash. Jump. Buy. It. Have. Fun.
One hell of an addicting fast paced platformer with neat mechanics. All of the levels keeps you in tension, and its so fun to try beating your fastest run again and again. Its fully controllable with only a mouse. Highly reccomended. (Pff I missed the release day :c)
