Raider Kid and the Ruby Chest

Fun short little game that reminds me of The Goonies II on NES. The ruby chest is indeed very nice!!! All natural and it's spectacular!!! The abilities and map exploration are clever. There are a lot of little secrets and upgrades hidden around the map. There is an in game item to help you find secrets you have missed.

It is a cute and fun Metroidvania that easily could have lived on the Game Boy Color, or the NES. (Including being completely playable with a D-Pad, A, B, Start, and Select.) You can beat it in 2 or 3 hours. It takes longer to 100%, which - at the time of writing, I have yet to do.

This is a cute and short GBC style Metroidvania that’s not too difficult. The Simple mechanics, throwback graphics, and exploration work well. It’s a fun one

Neutral review. You'll get your metroidvania fix but I would recommend it only if you really need one. It's well designed overall but I felt there weren't too many fresh elements here.
