I got into Raid after receiving a 25% off discount code on a gaming site for joining, so I kind of got paid to play. Started out on the Plarium launcher and it was great. Good introduction to mechanics, fun gameplay modes, balanced heroes and fair rng...but that was 5 years ago. Today its a constant, eternal grind if you are on a free account and refuse to spend a dime like me. Rng is so bad there is no longer any difference between shards after mystery ones. And if you are lucky enough to get a legendary the ridiculously watered down pool guarantees you will almost always get a worthless one. This would still be forgivable if not for the now never ending fusions...one every month I think. Good luck if you miss one because the meta is built around these fusion champions. First create an OP Champion as a problem and then release the counter in another fusion. Same with gear...and the whales just swallow it up. If that's not frustrating enough, rewards are being watered down as well. As an example the current doom tower normal rotation has only one void shard instead of two and mostly laughable items. 6-star gear, superior potions and other high level items are harder and harder to obtain. And lets not even talk about specials like chaos dust or soul essence. Its a great game when you don't take it seriously and I don't anymore. Because its fairly light (turn down most graphics in windowed mode) I leave it running in the background grinding while I play something else. Classic Arena, Doom Tower and Bosses are what I enjoy the most. Tag Team arena is another victim of the meta in this game and its ironic that I can reach platinum in classic but can't beat silver III In tag. The wall of whales is seemingly impenetrable...for now. Some advice after so long? Learn to 1 key NM and UNM (clan boss) as soon as possible. Its the best way to farm sacred and void shards besides doom tower hard. Next get Arbiter, Lydia (faction wars normal), Mithrala (hydra), Embrys (chimera) and every unlockable champion. A good clan will also help lots. Don't feed any epic champions or higher...ever until you have maxed out faction guardians and empowerments. I didn't watch videos at the beginning and I recommend you don't either...maybe a little when stuck. Too much will dull your senses and ruin the fun. Lastly only open shards during fusion events (champion tournament and champion chase) My modest Steam playtime does not include years on Plarium play and mobile so feel free to ask me anything. Most Youtubers are whales and have no idea how to think outside the box or make do with what's on hand. Yes speed is king, but the turtle still beats the hare every time...unless you are Gnishak then just blow everything up. Ramantu, I'm sorry but there are other things I wish to do before I die. Max I can rate this is a 4/10, make of it what you will.

I love the game but I do not want to support a company that supports Israel and IDF and their actions or their supporters
probably the biggest pile of crap pay 2 win game ever. the only people defending it are obnoxious * content creators * on youtube, getting payed in in game currenzy. pay 2 progress, pay 2 win, pay 2 everything.. and the prices are insane. dont spent a single cent on this crap.
I bought it, tried it, wanted to like it, did not like it. lack lustre pulls of green shards only, given rubbish heroes, repetitive battles. no epics, packs/bundles are stupidly expensive. hero art looks good. gear looks too animated. tried to persevere but this is a pay to play game with little variety. As a beginner in the game, i was hoping for a little bit more. Sticking with Watcher of Realms, so much better, no turned based rubbish, just pure combat strategy, lots of epic heroes from the off, and full control. This one? I do not recommend, Ciao!
Energy refill timers take 8+ hours, and 'Micro' transactions costing beyond £40-50 for 3 rolls that are rigged to be 3* and no rares. Complete scam

It's just too grindy. The art direction and characters are great, the gameplay is ok. The issue I have here is that to get what you need especially as a free to play the loop of leveling the lower star champions is way to monotonous. It is braindead and boring, If there was some form of skill or interesting game mechanics whilst farming it would keep you engaged, but I can't sit there farming the same thing over and over again to generate food to level up other champions. It's a time sink that isn't really fun, it auto battles for you and you need to repeat your actions on a very unfun leveling up loop. I got to 29 hours and that was it.
The character designs are cool and that's literally the only good thing I can say about this game. Combat is advertised as strategic but the best strategy 99% of the time is to just use auto-battle. There's barely any content. In the short time I played, I already cleared the normal mode story missions. Past that, you're just fighting higher level versions of the exact same boss in dungeons. Also, you will basically never progress at all without pouring out your wallet. Then again, I don't see the point in maxing out characters just to get to use them for basically nothing anyway. This basically isn't even a game. I'd say it's closer to an NFT roulette wheel. Don't waste your time.
Never knew this was even on PC. anyways, it's Raid. so, yeah. it sucks.
