Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.29/day in the week to Aug 15 → 10/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Parkour never was good in horror games, it still isn't. enemies should feel responsive and i should know when i can hit them with my weapon just by looking where I stand to them. the end boss shouldn't ignore my shots. the game shouldn't run like a slaughtered chicken trying to peck the eyes of a hobo. (range of 20/good and 7/bad Framerate) hate Completionist but loved the first Playthrough.
11 зажигалок из 10. 0 вишневых слоек, шприцов и книжек из 10. Я, конечно, не сру в кефир, но как простенькая инди игруля на один вечер с простой и понятной историей, хорошим финалом и особенно ГГ - вообще кайф.

very good game
I think that this game does not deserve those negative reviews, but I can 100% see where they come from. Pyromaniac sadly uses things from Cry of Fear that nobody misses about it and does not use things Cry of Fear had that made it age a bit better than it would without those things/qualities. The backtracking isn't as bad as in Cry of Fear, I feel like it is actually well managed, but some sections can be a bit annoying if you do not enjoy backtracking at all and being backed into a corner without a weapon feels bad if its not executed properly. The enemies aren't too complicated, they literally just chase you but combat nonetheless feels better in CoF because you atleast have a dodge. On top of that, while CoF had you clueless in many sections, this game manages to hold your hand a bit too much at times. What makes Pyromaniac stand out though is that while it offers you a 2 hour experience for 5 euros (I got it for less on a sale) it has been made by (leaving out music) a single developer who tried to make a love letter, or atleast something that takes a spin on CoF. I do not think that this game is a CoF copy because it manages to score with its own bigger points. The atmosphere didn't have me as scared as games which are known for having people piss their pants (CoF was one of them) but it came very close and had me uneasy pretty often, which is astonishing to say for a 5 euro game. On top of that, while I did mention that this game holds your hand a bit, it does provide for a more ''streamlined'' experience where you deal with way less frustration than CoF, therefore letting you actually focus on the atmosphere and horror. The story isn't amazing but I would say that while it does make parallels to CoF, it is not a blatant copy and does its own thing. The bossfights weren't groundbreaking but they were interesting to say the least and I actually liked them! I think that this game is definetly grabworthy on sale, it does enough to set itself apart from CoF while still being inspired by it, although in some parts for the worse than better, as the bad/outdated things of CoF also took over. Only thing is that CoF is free, while this game costs... I will still say play both, although this game actually offers a smoother and shorter experience so I would say maybe play this one before CoF if you can spend a couple of bucks at the moment.
