It's a weird mix of fantasy soccer mixed with a visual novel that doesn't quite come together. The characters are extremely lovable and the game play starts simple but can ramp up if you want more challenge however it doesn't quite mesh. I would say overall, get this because it's a fun visual novel, not because of actual game play. While it's fun, it never clicked for me, it feels a little to slippery for the amount of preciousness required. that said, what a visual novel it is. The world is interesting, every character, even the side ones, feel like they have a lot going on. There's a ton of fun interactions and intrigue, with genuinely hard decisions to make, not because of any morality, but because i marvel at how well they integrated those decisions into the game play. Overall, a very fun experience that's a little rough around the edges, but one that i haven't seen any other game attempt.

I love the game mechanics, design, characters, and story :)
Stylish as only Supergiant can deliver.
Played a bunch on PS4 and bought on sale on Steam. Great game from one of my favorite developers.
good story, and gameplay. I don't like sports simulators but the fantasy ball game is a lot of fun with easy to understand stats, and upgrade mechanics
I found this game while looking for other games made by the same creators as Bastion and Hades, however, this game doesn't have the same gameplay as those games. Nonetheless, I found the story and lore of the game to be quite interesting. The action parts of the game could be a bit frustrating as the hit box of the auras can be a bit hard to properly grasp and there are a lot of little details to keep in mind to master the mechanics. The story and character interactions however remains the stong point of this game, with interesting characters, deep lore, beautiful decors and music which, if you liked the style of those in Hades, you should like here as well.
