Prologue: Go Wayback! is a single-player open-world emergent survival roguelike where every journey is unique. Traverse a new wilderness that is generated for you every time you play. Chart your path, overcome the elements, and write your own story of exploration.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

About
In Prologue: Go Wayback! no two journeys are ever the same.
A brand new 64km2 world is generated on your PC every time you start the game. Our in-house machine-learning technology empowers our artists and designers to create a system that lets you generate billions of beautiful, natural worlds that are waiting to be explored.
Chart your own course through the rugged terrain toward the distant Weather Tower. How you get there, and whether you survive, is entirely up to you.
Dynamic weather and time of day shape your every decision.
Rain can soak your clothes and drench your fires. Thunderstorms can wreak havoc on the terrain. Blizzards bring snow and the danger of hypothermia.
Forage for edible food, seek sources of drinkable water, and chart your path from shelter to shelter.
No guides. No markers telling you where to go next. Just your instincts, your tools, and your choices.
You will need to read your map, use your compass, keep an eye on the sky, and adapt to the terrain and the weather if you want to survive.
Will you stick to the valleys, searching for shelter? Or climb the ridges for a clear line to the Weather Tower? Will you brave the storm at night, or hunker down and wait it out?
Your story is what you make it.
A new map every time you play
Explore vast, procedurally generated landscapes created through the fusion of our in-house machine learning technology and human talent.

To the people who say it's boring and empty. Go take a walk in the deep forest, but don't forget to charge your GPS/smartphone. This game is full of POI's and poses a huge challenge on people liking to navigate terrain map with compass. It's not a nanny game like they make in the past 15 years, here you need to work hard to win. If you like Hunter games, this one could be for you.
I`ve paid for this, and now out of nowhere, they made it free, and abandoned it, so i was robbed, plain and simple.

The mushroom🍄picking trip was really promising🧺
This game is super annoying. It is pitch black indoors even in daytime with the lights turned on. I always have to carry the flashlight with me. The player hardly can survive reaching the next cabin which is only 1-2 minutes away. On the way it starves to death, dies on dehydration twice and has five heart attacks. She is more sensitive than a newborn child. The control is really bad, I always dropping the flashlight too with the logs when I put them in the fireplace. The area is 64km^2. That is 8 by 8 kilometers. Let's say you walk 10kms, that's a walk after the Sunday lunch. If you walk 4 km/h pace you cross the map in 2 hours. Normally a person won't even get thirsty. Sorry, but this game is rather a nightmare, than a surviving something.
i tried this game out when it was free and to be honest it is just meh just know it runs very poorly and have pretty beefy pc it stutters and lags like no tomorrow i will give it credit it is a cool concept and is good looking . i would not recommend this game,
This game has insane difficulty, but I managed to beat it. Use all your skills from other survival games. There are no monster attacks here, just fighting against the elements and hunger. You must endure stress. Every step you take determines your fate. If you haven't succeeded, it means your skills are still poor.
I like the concept and the map, but physics and optimization are trash. So no
I was pretty excited for it but they gave up. Not surprising. Cool tech behind the game but they quit, so you won't get to see it fulfilled. Additionally they said there would be refunds for people who bought when they made it free, this was seemingly untrue as I've yet to be able to refund it. Oh well.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the game and the concept. I just wish the project had continued.
