Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Sep 10 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Prelude Dark Pain takes place in the world of Statera, a territory ravaged by the Dark Pain, an ancient and mysterious source of destruction. The Order of the Ashen Crusade rules with blood and terror over a great extent of this territory while praying to the Lord of Pain. However, there are still free people who fight against the lurking evil, like Soren and the Blue Net faction.
The reality of Statera is being torn apart by the conflict, causing tears in the veil between worlds that protects it from supernatural forces. Through these rifts, the creatures of Pain can break through their reality to invade and cause even greater devastation.
Players will have to make important decisions that will influence both the main story and the heroes that can be recruited in battle. You may miss some of them because of your previous choices!
There will be more than 20 different factions with their own cultures scattered throughout Statera. Many of them are hostile, guaranteeing more than 70 different enemies to face. You'll also find final bosses among them!

In addition to the main story, Prelude Dark Pain will be loaded with sidequests and ways to influence the world outside of the main story. These will give you access to recruit certain heroes and even more lore:
World Missions can be picked up from NPC's across the world map and lead you to even more content.
Raids can undertaken by heroes from your settlement, helping to push back against the tide of enemies, save the innocent, spy and gather resources.
Craft new weapons and equipment for your heroes from your settlement as well, taking your skills warriors to an even greater degree of strength.

I'm enjoying this game, I want to continue playing but for some reason in battle, performance goes to hell. Its fine outside of combat. I opened up afterburner and its micro stutter city. I can't believe a 2D game like this has performance issues. There's no graphical options outside of resolution, vsync and window options. I've tried even capping framerate to 60fps and its still feels choppy and honestly, hurts my eyes to play. I'll re-review in the future hopefully they figure the performance out. For what it's worth it does seem fun and combat is enjoyable.
The Good: Fun art, interesting character progression, unique setting, good price, and more content to come. The Bad: Dialogue is flat and sometimes unnatural, almost like it was run through google translate or something. Sometimes the bonus fight goals are vague or just factually wrong. Early boss fight is too easy. It is clear that the Devs did not intend you to beat it, as when you kill the boss the fight abruptly ends and suddenly the boss is suddenly alive again, and you are being rescued. Boss either needs immunity to bleed damage or needs a speed buff because you can just apply bleed damage and kite him until he dies. The Ugly: The controls, camera, and UI is incredibly frustrating and unnatural. It's like you have someone using your computer actively fighting every input. Luckily it is a turn based game so it doesn't completely ruin the game but it gets old fast. All in all I had a decent time and I think it could be worth the money once fully released, but at the moment I think would be best to wait.

Very good game, the future should hold well if they keep working on it. Art style very reminiscent of Darkest Dungeon, Don't Starve Together and a few other steam games. But is still very unique. Gameplay is similar to FF Tactics, but looks way better and more modern. If you like turned based tactics you'll like this game
The Art style is great but other than that it seems to be a very flawed and badly designed game, the controls feel clunky, even for controller which it was clearly designed for. You can go back to old school games from the PS1 era like final fantasy tactics or front mission series and those controls will feel superior. Example being elevated areas can only be reached by following a path to it, even to simply check if you can aim a ranged character at the elevated target. The map is way too zoomed in which forces alot of steering the camera to look around, the UI takes up too much of the screen. Now lets get to the actual mechanics, basic combat seems fine, skills costing points, beyond doing a basic attack, you can choose to save a point to defend, which defending is almost always necessary during early game, The UI for crafting is abysmal, you cannot examine your parties current loadout whilst at the forge, forcing you to leave the town just to check something, so it expect to do a lot of exiting and entering town, a simple compare option or a tab to view should be standard is not. The world map also suffers from being too zoomed in, making it awkward to navigate, found myself back tracking a lot, its early access so will be interesting to see what they do with it, unfortunately we live in an age now of early access being a dice roll whether the devs dedicate much time to quality of life instead of just adding more content, time will tell.
This game completely exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, it's clear that this isn't just another tactical RPG, it has a real identity and a vision behind it. The narrative is easily one of its strongest aspects. The world feels rich, the characters are compelling, and the story unfolds at a satisfying pace, constantly making you want to see what comes next. It avoids feeling generic and instead builds an atmosphere that is both dark and captivating. The art direction deserves special praise. Every environment, portrait, and illustration is crafted with incredible attention to detail. The visual style perfectly complements the tone of the game, creating a world that is beautiful, melancholic, and memorable. It's one of those games where you often stop just to appreciate the artwork. The combat is engaging and rewarding, but what truly elevates the experience is how well every element: story, music, gameplay, and visuals, works together to create a cohesive whole. It's always exciting to discover an indie title made with so much passion and care. CONGRATULATIONS. Highly recommended.
I really tried to enjoy the game. The artwork is great, and the world and story seemed interesting, but the UI is terrible. At some point I caught myself realizing that I was spending 70% of my time fighting the clunky UI and only 30% actually planning the fight and executing my decisions. The UI is clearly designed for controllers, but it's just as bad with a keyboard and mouse. The only thing worse than the combat UI is the inventory management. Comparing and changing equipment is a nightmare. I expected the additional mission goals to be a way to challenge your skill, but they're often RNG-based, which completely ruins the idea for me. The character leveling and MVP systems also seem weird. They make leveling uneven, and I almost never agreed with the game's MVP decisions. I think the game has great potential, and I'd love to jump back in once the developers rebalance it and fix the UI. But in its current state, I can't recommend it.
