Predetermined Odds Using AI to evaluate the probability of outcomes regarding opening hand, coin flip outcomes, and starting Pokemon it has determined that there is an extremely low likelihood the game is actually truly randomized. There is likely code that creates checks and balances to not let you get on a longer winning streak or losing streak. Certain decks seem to get more unfavorable odds, usually the top decks in format or those relying on special conditions such as sleep or burn.
AI is godly and won’t be stopped Game is fun up until you try these ridiculous missions vs the AI. They start EVERY single game with the perfect hand. 2 professors and 2 pokeballs. They then follow with a copycat next turn always having every evolution, every Cyrus every Sabrina ready to counter you. It just gets old fast forcing you to play vs humans. I don’t have time to play 20 min games so AI is better for me but please make the shuffling and drawing fair for both sides. I may sound like a sore loser but try it for yourself. Play the advanced missions and you’ll see what I’m talking about. And far too often are all my evolutions and rare candies at the bottom. This game’s algorithm is broken and needs a fix!!!!!!
Devs ruined it for money Pull rates nerfed into the ground, not fun to pull packs anymore. Comp is full of pay to win pack spammers that have the most meta build, which changes every month. so if you don’t have the money to drop on 400+ packs a month for 2 ace pokemon in a comp deck you just won’t have fun. Have to rate 1/5 cause I can’t rate 0/5 greed ruins games and ruins nostalgia.
Slow I have enjoyed this game since launch. This issue has only grown to irritate me more and more. The only problem I have is everything takes way too long. Navigating menus, the animation for completing missions, wonderpick, combat animations. Great game otherwise but it feels like I'm having my time wasted.
Expert battles are just so rigged If you want to lose your hair and age, play this app! There’s clear bias towards the AI opponents and the game wants you to lose. If you download it, know that it’s actively working against you. Awful yet addicting game. It’s exactly what they want.
Trash Game is trash and is completely set up to keep you playing longer. Bots cheat in solo with perfect draws and counters, while ranked keeps you yo-yoing with their algorithm so it’s a grind and hours wasted more than skill based in deck making. Don’t waste your time on this heavily leaning micro transaction game disguised as a card game time suck
Helped me learn I’ve never bothered going beyond collecting cards, so being able to gain knowledge about the actual gameplay has been really fun. The prompts during battle help my adhd brain remember the order of actions - something that would hinder me from playing an in-person game. The dev team seems to really care about user satisfaction and the amount of non-paid currency and such is very reasonable. Frequent new packs. This is one of the things my partner and I enjoy together daily.
Dishonest offering rates EDIT: RARE PACKS AND GUARUNTEED 1star packs ARE NOT DROPPING 1 STAR AND ABOVE CARDS! You have a bug that needs to be addressed immediately, I would not spend one cent on this game if I were you. If you’re new to the game there are rare packs and packs that have a sound that indicate a guaranteed card of 1 star rarity or higher. I started a new account over and over again to get an idea of how often this is happening and I stopped counting after 30 packs that should have had rare cards that only had standard plain cards. Cool game and all but do not think that the offering rates for rare packs are anywhere near accurate. My experience playing since day one is that the vast vast vast majority of rare pack even though you might have as low as 25% to NOT get a 1star art card. You get a 1 star art card 49 times out of 50. And I am not exaggerating at all. You will not get another penny from me for that level of dishonesty. Flat out just pisses me off beyond measure because there is no chance those offering rates accurate.
Absolute garbage The single player AI blatantly cheats to always draw exactly what it needs to beat you. Chances of getting good cards out of packs and wonder picks you get for free are abysmally low. Pack points you earn can’t be carried over to the new packs released each month, which is a problem because all the old cards become obsolete within 4 sets. The only online players left are people who pay the big bucks to get all the best cards. Please just save your money and don’t feed into infuriating pay to win models.
Potential is minimal, player base is terrible. It’s fun if you like a week of getting card and then a slog of opening 2-3 packs every other day for duplicates. Battling? Yeah, if you want to play against high level players that have multiple mega pokemon and sweaty play sets that are basically a 2-3 turn game for them. I don’t know what the “premium” point is of the game, a single extra pack a day isn’t worth the time it takes to play through solo to get enough currency to open more packs. You’d have a better time going out and fist-fighting pokemon card scalpers than playing whatever this is attempting to be.
