The single fact that you seemingly cannot snap together puzzle pieces basically killed my interest in this game. Most others seem to be stuck on the way the game handles DLC. But not being able to snap pieces together is so fundamentally breaking in regards of a puzzle game that I just can't really bring myself to bother. Yes, you can snap to the location on the board itself, which works for edge pieces. But not snapping actual pieces together? Dealbreaker here.
Latest update is bad. Static pieces. None rotating. Boring. Uninstalled.

The Japanese artwork is awesome.
Teraz, jeśli chodzi o PPU, będzie to wyścig szczurów i pieniędzy.
Pixel Puzzles Illustrations & Anime Jigsaw Puzzles is a free-to-play puzzle title developed and published by Pixel Puzzles that brings together traditional jigsaw gameplay with a growing library of anime-inspired artwork. Rather than building its appeal around story-driven progression or competitive mechanics, the game focuses on delivering a relaxing and accessible puzzle-solving experience. Players are invited to assemble beautifully illustrated images across a wide range of puzzle sizes, making it equally suitable for newcomers looking for a casual pastime and dedicated enthusiasts who enjoy tackling much larger and more demanding challenges. The game succeeds by offering flexibility from the very beginning. Its collection includes puzzles ranging from simple 96-piece layouts to intricate 1,410-piece creations that require patience and careful observation. This wide range of difficulty allows players to choose sessions that fit both their available time and preferred challenge level. The developers have also incorporated uniquely shaped puzzle pieces instead of repetitive generic cuts, helping each completed image feel more satisfying while maintaining the familiar sensation of working with a physical jigsaw puzzle. Combined with multiple image formats, including panoramic and traditional layouts, the variety keeps the experience from becoming visually repetitive. Customization plays an important role in enhancing the overall experience. Players can adjust numerous gameplay settings to suit their personal preferences, including different backgrounds and optional hint systems that provide assistance without removing the satisfaction of solving puzzles independently. An automatic save feature ensures that even the largest puzzles can be completed over multiple sessions, eliminating the frustration of losing progress. These thoughtful quality-of-life additions demonstrate an understanding of how digital puzzle games should improve upon their physical counterparts by offering convenience while preserving the relaxing pace that fans of the genre expect. The visual presentation is naturally one of the game's strongest attractions. Its anime-themed illustrations feature colorful characters, fantasy-inspired settings, and detailed artwork that rewards players upon completion. Instead of relying on a single artistic style, the game offers a broad assortment of illustrations through downloadable puzzle packs, allowing players to expand their collection according to their own tastes. The artwork remains crisp and vibrant throughout the puzzle-solving process, while the uncluttered interface ensures that attention stays focused on the images rather than unnecessary distractions. The calm atmosphere and straightforward presentation further reinforce the game's role as a peaceful escape rather than a high-pressure gaming experience. Although the gameplay remains faithful to the traditional jigsaw puzzle formula, that simplicity can also be viewed as its primary limitation. Those seeking narrative content, evolving mechanics, or competitive multiplayer elements may find the experience repetitive over extended play sessions. However, the game never attempts to be anything other than a digital puzzle collection, and it performs that role with confidence. The free-to-play structure also lowers the barrier to entry, giving players the opportunity to experience the core mechanics before deciding whether additional puzzle packs are worth purchasing. Overall, Pixel Puzzles Illustrations & Anime Jigsaw Puzzles is a polished and enjoyable digital adaptation of classic jigsaw puzzles that emphasizes comfort, flexibility, and attractive anime-inspired artwork. Its extensive selection of puzzle sizes, user-friendly customization features, automatic progress saving, and expanding collection of illustrations make it an appealing choice for players who appreciate relaxing games they can enjoy at their own pace. While it offers little beyond its central puzzle-solving concept, it executes that concept well and provides enough content and customization to remain engaging for fans of the genre. Rating: 7/10
