It is a very simple concept, but I like how quickly it lets me switch off and concentrate on something quiet. The biggest strength for me is how easy it is to use. I do not need to learn complicated controls or understand any difficult mechanics. I can simply choose a picture, select the appropriate colours and start filling in the pixels. That makes it approachable even if I do not normally play games focused on creativity. The pixel art style also works particularly well for this concept. The small individual squares make the progress easy to see, and watching a mostly blank image gradually become complete can be surprisingly satisfying. I like seeing the different colours come together and eventually reveal the finished picture. There is also something naturally relaxing about the slow pace. I do not have to worry about enemies, timers or difficult objectives, so I can take my time and work through an illustration at whatever speed I want. It feels more like a digital colouring activity than a traditional game, which is exactly what makes it appealing when I want something calm. The biggest weakness is the lack of meaningful gameplay beyond colouring. Once I understand how the system works, there are not many new mechanics to learn.
