Just started playing it a bit ago and it is so much fun! Highly recommend! I am super excited to see this game be completed in the future!
has no pigs with faces unfortunately. but really good tho.
TLDR: I highly recommend this game, less than an hour into it I already feel like I've played something worth my money. Also I use Linux and have had no compatibility issues while playing so far using Proton; I don't personally have a steam deck but I imagine this game would be a very fun handheld play. I went into it expecting a grimy boomer shooter, and it certainly provides that kind of experience. What I wasn't expecting was some of the most satisfying gunplay I've experienced, nor was I expecting open ended levels and multiple options to approach objectives, nor was I expecting weapon customization and crafting mechanics (You can put a scope and a suppressor on a snub-nose revolver and snipe enemies from across the map, it is extremely fun). If you enjoy shooters, buy this. If you enjoy immersive sims, buy this; doubly so if you've been wanting an immersive sim that is much faster paced than most entries in the genre. The experience of the game feels like a mix of Hotline Miami and Manhunt. This is a game where you're shoved unwillingly into a dirty and soulless world and you have no choice but to crawl through the dirt and get excessive amounts of blood on your hands to survive. The story is cryptic and intriguing so far; you are seemingly a random woman who has been abducted and had a bomb put into your head. Under this extreme duress your captors are wielding you as a weapon and pointing you at their rivals in a criminal underworld. But you don't know anything about your characters past, and there are hints she may have previously been more involved in this world than it first appears. Would certainly explain why she's so good at killing. The atmosphere of the art and sound design in this game are perfect. I'd describe the aesthetic as "Counter Strike 1.6 smeared in grime", idk if original Source Engine games were a deliberate inspiration for this games visuals, but that is what they remind me of and I'm really happy to see that kind of aesthetic used as it is not a retro art style that is explored enough in recent games imo. I do have a few negatives, though they are far from game ruining. Firstly, the game has melee weapons but they are vastly less satisfying than the guns. To make another comparison to a source engine game they remind me of the crowbar from half-life. Swinging any melee weapon plays a very quick and weightless animation and makes enemies fall limply to the ground in response. I hit an enemy in the head with a baseball bat and I want to hear a meaty squishing sound, or something akin to a watermelon getting crushed, but instead it sounds like lightly tapping a block of wood with a stick. There's a lot of room for improvement for the game-feel there: weightier animations, more impactful sound design, maybe something like holding the attack button to charge up a heavier swing that can send an enemy flying to the side, maybe even a little slow-mo at the moment of impact. The major negative I have is with the games NPC Behavior (I work on game NPC behavior for a living so this is naturally what I pay attention to). In groups they work fine enough and can present a challenge but when you pay attention to the behavior of individual enemies there is quite a few things lacking. They are generally pretty oblivious to the world around them, you can be mowing down enemies with an AK-47 in a house and then find enemies in the room next door watching TV like nothing is happening. You can shoot at an enemy at the end of a long corridor with an un-supressed weapon and they'll just stand there while bullets fly past their head because they're not within the sphere of sound generated by your weapon firing. On the flip side sometimes enemies will detect you for reasons that seem unclear. I think some work on making the enemies more reactive and better communicating their awareness states to the player would really benefit the game. Also very minor but I wish I had a bit more feedback on the status of my health, it does the thing where the edge of the screen goes read but I often find it hard to notice. Given that this is an early access game with seemingly frequent updates I think it's very possible for these negative points to be improved upon, and like I said at the top of this review, I think the experience that is already there is great and well worth the money already.

Cool game
probably one of my favourite games
this game start to become more & more Amazing by the time i play it...The "remix" levels are so Challenging et cool at the same time (because you can play at the levels, but not with the same Objectives) and I bless as Much the "Eagle" pistol in this game..that can help you deal a Lotta DAMAGE, if you wanna Play really Dirty at challenging levels like Urban Plaza ;3
this game is fun
It's a game where you play as a girl who's lowkey psychopathic, just put on some breakcore or whatever you enjoy and beat the crap out of people. The crafting update is good, but I don't wanna scavenge for components :( Oh well. Still a good game though, more in the lines of a sandbox cuz of the weapons and equipment you get. I recommend! (I did NOT like the fact that the 4 min wave subway mission was difficult, but eh skill issue for me lol. And I didn't like that our saves were wiped but it's fine lol, I just did everything again anyways!)
Do you like the parts of Fallout New Vegas where you just walk around and shoot people in between hour long sprees of walking and looking for stimpaks? This is that. This entire game is just the best part of New Vegas combat. And now you dont have to go through a giant mod menu and hope your game doesnt crash. Its just actually good and works. I would like if at some point after this company finishes the game, they make some kind of endless mode or smth like the gamemode from tlou2. (Maybe this isnt on the developers minds at all but i could really see them making a great twisted metal knockoff even if only singleplayer. They have the vibes and art style perfectly and if Sony wont give us one after 14 years, they might as well. Especially with the current hype the show is giving people.)
It’s such a fun game. It gets everything that’s needed to be fun right. Its level design, gunplay and simplicity are its strongest points. It plays and (thematically*) feels like some sort of 3D Hotline Miami. You have plenty(ish) of ways and builds to tackle each level's challenge, tough stealth is not one of them. I'd say that the "stealth system" is more of an assumption* than a fact. I hope to see more new content, which is very lacking at the moment. For now, while not mind blowing, offers an almost* flawless experience and has a very promising future. *
Masks with quirks, getting calls telling you who to kill, psychopathic protagonist.
*There are paths and shortcuts obviously made so you have less confrontational ways to clear the level, almost every weapon has an purchasable silencer attachment;
some levels don't require you to kill enemies to complete them
; it takes a few seconds for an enemy to react to your presence, and when they do, they make you know well before they shoot that they saw you through voice lines; and despite all of that, trying to play stealthy feels uneasy. The AI doesn't help, enemies' detection is tricky, levels like
urban_plaza
seems designed both to encourage stealth and punish it (more the latter), etc. Though I personally prefer this flawed stealth system to one that overran the game because of how fun it is right now, a better stealth system might as well elevate the experience so much. *Jumping doesn't disable crouching, lol.
