this is so boring ;_;
When looking at the modern landscape of online games, Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis stands out as an absolute triumph in high-speed action, player freedom, and community engagement. As someone who has spent hundreds of hours immersed in the world of Halpha, I can confidently say that this game is a deeply rewarding online RPG. It masterfully bridges the gap between thrilling, fast-paced combat and a vibrant, expressive community sandbox that feels incredibly fresh every single day. One of the absolute greatest and most impressive features of the game is its flawless execution of cross-platform progression. While I am writing this review on Steam, I more often than not play the game on the PlayStation 5. The sheer convenience of this unified ecosystem cannot be overstated. Your entire player character profile is completely cross-platform, meaning you can play interchangeably on both systems with absolutely zero issues. There are no tedious manual data transfers, no synchronization lag, and no platform-exclusive lockouts on your progression. I can log off my PC, boot up my PlayStation 5 in the living room, and my exact character, gear, and inventory are instantly right there waiting for me. SEGA has crafted a genuinely seamless environment where your character lives securely in the cloud, giving you total freedom over how and where you want to play. Beyond the technical triumphs of its cross-play framework, the game is an absolute dream come true for fans of customization, fashion, and pop culture. The game boasts a near-constant stream of incredible anime and video game crossovers for cosmetics and weapon skins. The sheer variety of collaborative content is staggering. Over its lifespan, the game has brought iconic outfits, hairstyles, accessories, and weapon camos from some of the biggest franchises in media right into the player's hands. If you love dressing up your character to look like your favorite anime protagonists or legendary video game icons, the robust "Phasion" system provides unparalleled creative expression. These collaborative events are tightly woven into the game's ongoing live-service calendar, ensuring there is always a massive crossover right around the corner. Compounding this incredible cosmetic variety is the seemingly daily bombardment of new content, updates, and events with absolutely no end in sight. SEGA keeps their foot firmly on the accelerator when it comes to keeping the game world alive and dynamic. It feels like every time you log in, there is a new seasonal event decorating the central hubs, fresh urgent quests to tackle with friends, or unique boss fights that challenge your combat mastery. The developer's commitment to sustaining a rolling tide of content ensures that the gameplay loop never grows stagnant. There is always a rewarding milestone to chase, a new cosmetic capsule to check out, or a limited-time exchange shop overflowing with valuable upgrade materials. It is an exceptional live-service title that respects your time, rewards your creativity, and promises to keep you thoroughly entertained for thousands of hours to come.

dead game
A waste of time. It's garbage, repetitive, it's not worth equipping, the free gear is enough to enter any quest. The problem is that there are RMT bots, Sega does not plan to do anything against that. Bots exist on all ships, they enter any quest to spam dodge without doing no damage. In-game reports are useless. And now they are filling the servers with private rooms to sell currency.
I'm sure that this review is going to come across as me whining, but at 540 hours when this review was written, this game was my most played game on steam. I really like the storyline of the classic version. Or, I used to before I came across what might have been the final fight in the story mode. I'm supposed to defeat Shiva in the mothership! Ok. I'm getting close... lagging, but it's working... Until... I finally won! Or so I thought. I didn't think that I would have to fight that again... At least the second time isn't laggy. I'm going along... Until my 1,500 health character gets defeated. In one hit. Are you kidding me?! On top of that, there's no checkpoint in between the stages where you fight Shiva, so now I have to fight both stages all over again.... Anyway, As for NGS, my thing to whine about there is that personal shop items are really expensive... And you get n-Messetta at a terrible rate. It doesn't help that NGS has a repetitive storyline.... Well. That's all I got. Thank you for listening, and Until Classic gets it's own servers, I don't think I'll be going near this one...
