Recommended 👍 Petunia's Purgatory is one of those games that looks like a simple idle farming game at first, but somehow ends up stealing way more of your attention than expected. The main loop is surprisingly addictive: grow crops, process ingredients, fulfill requests for the Elder God, earn money, unlock new items, and slowly automate your farm with Sprites. There is almost always something new to manage or upgrade, so ironically, this is an idle game that made me barely idle at all. I also really like the contrast between the cute pixel-art farming and the Eldritch horror theme. Crops get increasingly bizarre, some require blood to grow, and the Sanity system can cause strange effects to appear on your desktop. It gives the game a lot more personality than a typical desktop farming game. The Sprites are charming too. My favorite is the slime that drinks water from the pond and spits it onto your crops. Efficient? Yes. Hygienic? Let's not talk about it. There are a couple of downsides. Some of the low-Sanity desktop effects can become genuinely distracting if you're trying to do serious work, and the lo-fi soundtrack starts looping fairly quickly. Still, for its full Steam price of around 145 THB, I think it's very good value. There is a surprising amount to manage, unlock, and optimize for such a small game. A very cute farming game where your main customer just happens to be an ancient god living in the barn. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy idle games, farming sims, automation, and cozy games with a little cosmic horror mixed in.

t’s a cool farming game. I especially want to highlight how convenient it is that the interface is integrated right into the desktop you can play while at work and kill two birds with one stone. Just make sure the boss doesn't see you, lol.
