Persist Online is a new old-school MMORPG with zombies. Enter every building in an open world with hundreds of players. Team up and shoot the undead to level up your weapon. Or gun each other down for the loot. Either way, you still have to make it back to the Safehouse.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
Persist Online is a new old-school MMORPG with zombies. Enter every building in an open world with hundreds of players. Team up and shoot the undead to level up your weapon. Or gun each other down for the loot. Either way, you still have to make it back to the Safehouse.
Fight zombies, mutants and raiders in an open world that gets deadlier and more rewarding the farther you go. Beware of other players looking to relieve you of your hard-earned loot on the way to the Safehouse. Form a guild and conquer strategic sectors on the map to stockpile resources even faster.
Unlike in fantasy MMORPGs, waving a magic wand won’t help you in Persist Online. Instead, you can defend yourself with machine guns, assault rifles, pistols, revolvers, shotguns and SMGs. But if a horde happens to get too close, nothing beats swinging a hammer or katana to take out as many zombies as you can at once.
The company behind Persist Online operates one of the longest-running MMORPGs ever: Tibia, released in 1997. True to that legacy, Persist Online is a tough old-school experience. You can lose everything you’ve looted, so be careful when someone seems a little too friendly. Or just let your shotgun do the talking.
Sure, you can fight your way through hordes of zombies to find a rifle that rolled with exactly the right mods. Or you could craft one from scratch and forge it into a gun that perfectly fits your playstyle. You level what you use, so every kill brings you closer to unlocking your weapon's full potential.
There are no classes in Persist Online. Just play your character however you want, and distribute points across 25 skill trees. Progressing in Mechanics not only lets you dismantle washing machines more efficiently. It also lets you place a distracting robot to save teammates who didn’t level as cleverly as you did.
Explore an open world where every building can be entered, but it might become a deadly trap. Since the post-apocalypse isn’t all sunshine, there’s dynamic weather and a meaningful day-night cycle. Nothing is stopping you from riding into the sunset – except for everything in this world that wants to kill you.
