Pear Quest

1画面マップでお使いをするだけのゲーム。 8bit時代の古いトップビューアクティブアドベンチャーのよう...なのですが、特に心を動かされるものは無いです。 もっとNPCの生活感が感じられるような内容であれば楽しめる作品になったかと思いますが...。 良い点: [list] [*]特になし [/list] 悪い点: [list] [*]コントローラー非対応 [*]ヒントとなる会話で文字のドットが荒く、何が書いてあるか分からない部分が多い(英語ネイティブなら分かるのかなぁ?) [*]アイテムを どこで何に使うものか分からない(想像の余地が無さすぎるアイテムがある) [*]白黒二値の画像で、通行可能な部分と不可能な部分の区別がつきづらい [*]上記2つのせいでゲームが進行不能になったように見えることがある(全NPCと全マップに総当たりすれば なんとか...) [/list] どうしてもコントローラーを使用したい場合は「Steamライブラリ→PearQuest→コントローラー設定」からキー割り当てすれば利用可能です。 「Z:ジャンプ、X:操作、カーソルキー:移動、ESC:メニュー」あたりを設定しておけば一通りプレイ可能。 斜め移動もできた方がプレイしやすいでしょう。 全体を通して、ゲームとして楽しめる部分が少ないので 他の人にお勧めできません。

Very cute game, with some pros and cons! Pros: - I love idea of the entire map being on-screen at once. It makes it more fun when you unlock parts of the map or discover new things, because you're like "how didn't I see this before!?!?" Everything is quite easy to navigate despite how much information is on-screen at once. - I thought the entire thing was quite adorable! The art style is cute and retro, the tone is upbeat and quirky, and the ending is a nice little nod. Cons: - A lot of people have complained about this already, but the font is SO SMALL. This makes all of the dialogue very tricky to read, even if you zoom in. I had to lean very close to my computer screen to play. It is the main drawback of the entire game, and will definitely be a deal-breaker for some players. If you have trouble reading or have bad eyesight, this game might literally be unplayable. Neutrals: - I beat the game in under an hour, so if you're looking for a long, in-depth puzzle game, this isn't it. I never had any real trouble with any of the puzzles, and I never got stumped for more than a minute or two. If you're a puzzle newbie, this might be a good starter game to test the waters, since there's nothing convoluted or obtuse in it and it's quite affordable (Also, I might replay the game again, because there was clearly one or two optional side puzzles that I missed. Your playtime will probably be longer than mine if you 100% the game). It's good for what it is, with one or two really nice ideas, but nothing spectacular. However, I'm definitely interested in trying out some of the developer's other games now!

A fine enough game, though it is easy to softlock the game in a couple ways.

Looked nice, but the resolution of the game is way to low. You can’t see anything. The game won’t let you change any options like resolution or control binding. You could play it with windows magnifying glass turned on, but this only works when you have only one monitor… Too bad. I’d really wanted to play this game, but it’s no fun under this circumstances.

cute little game, really fun puzzles, but it does not save. 7//10
