this is a decent enough bowling game. at the time of writing this review, i can no longer continue my season (season 1). i click 'play', it says 'saving' and then does nothing. try this a few times, nope. exit/restart game, nope. so, that kinda sucks. update: following some threads i was able to delete my game save, disable steam cloud sync, start the game and save locally, re-enable steam cloud and then upload that new copy of the save file. still lost all my progress but at least it's something. and, unless i'm missing something in the options, the other issue i have is that i can't control camera angles or see my bowler after the initial approach and stance. the AI bowler opponent you can see, however, why not myself?! why can't i change the camera angles or watch my guy roll the ball from that view. it's just a zoomed in view that follows the ball to the pins and then some replay angles, which are fine. it's not a hill i'm dying on, just a bunch of missed opportunities for a simulation game. back in 1997 a little game called brunswick tournament of champions was released on the snes; i put so many hours into that game as a kid, and i'd argue it's a superior game to this and a lot of other simulation bowling games, that i have played, still. i cannot recommend this game at its current price, which is $40 [can]. if this goes on sale at some point for $5-$10, sure. this sentiment stands regardless of being able to start a new career.

Positiv aufgefallen sind die Avatare der Profi-Spieler aus der PBA sowie die Stabilität des Spiels. Bei den Einstellungen ist mit "Simulation" der Ablauf des Bowlingvorgangs gut gelungen. Viele der Steam-Auszeichnungen lassen sich nur über das "Schnelles Spiel" erreichen, die Physik des Bowlings ist nur oberflächlich gut gelungen und wer nach den Einstellmöglichkeiten eines realen Aufstell-Automaten sucht, der sucht vergeblich (z.B. Aufstellung von bestimmten Pins). Ansonsten vermisst man die Details, die ein Spiel besonders machen. Kurz gesagt, handwerklich gut, mit viel Luft nach oben - es wirkt uninspiriert. Ein kleines Easter-Egg sieht man zu Weihnachten. Übrigens, die letzten drei Würfe werden leichter abgeräumt. Hier wäre mal eine Realstatistik, die im Spiel leider fehlt, ganz nett. Man kann nur wenig über die Details der PBA mit diesem Spiel in Erfahrung bringen... Fazit: Für dieses Spiel sollte man eingefleischter Bowling-Fan sein.
