Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 691/day in the week to Jul 17 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is a fair game and is kind of fun to play but mostly as a time killer. The grind is huge but when you succeed, I caught myself saying out loud, "yes!", lol. So, it does feel rewarding when you complete things. I play solo and that might add to the grind but that is not a problem for me. I like that there are no level caps on your character so that relieves the urge to blast through everything at all costs just to max out your character. The worst part of the game so far is the fact you can't craft without having the items on your character. You can't pull from the chests around your crafting stations. This is not for the impatient to be sure but it is relaxing and fun to play.
World is large but also full of resources. Lots of craft skills and items. Single plots are enough for everything; can make a cozy home/craft shop easily. I see some impressive castles out there that people put the time into. Haven't explored the market much as I like to be independents. Haven't progressed much and it seems like there's MUCH more for me to accomplish but so far, I HAVE enjoyed this game. I read other reviews; I think they were overly negative.

I'm thoroughly enjoying just chilling, crafting and slowly building out my plot. Only 4 hours in. Game is still clearly in early stages. It has tons of potential. I was looking for a modern feel of that LOTRO "hang about in the shire" kind of vibe. No stress, low pressure. The building mechanics can use a pass or two, but it works. I've walked in to some really beautifully crafted places of others already. They're really inspiring and motivating. Crafting is pretty thorough, but there's a lot of things to craft and I'm not entirely sure if I'll have to focus on all of them or mostly only e.g. Leatherworking and not Armoring, for now I do all until I learn if I shouldn't. I sincerely hope this game will grow and improve over time. And then I know I have my "escape from reality".
All the positive reviews saying updates are going in the right direction. They should've been addressed pre 1.0, This is a joke. I bought 2 game copies so I can have lots of land in EA, was having a blast, then just lost all purpose as to why. There's no end game. I'm sure trees still grow through your housing. Needs way more work before it went live.
It is a very relaxing and fun game for building, joining a clan and fighting in pvp with your clan, and also it is a game that is actually worth the money that you pay to get it.
AWESOME GREAT GAME
even though the game is still being developed, there is no pay to win. growing economy, and friendly player base.
When I was younger, my friends and I used to imagine a game like Pax Dei: a truly player-driven world where players could build the world themselves, instead of just running through cities someone else had already created. I had never even heard of Pax Dei until my brother kept insisting I should try it. When I finally did, I was genuinely surprised by what the game made possible. And then I was surprised all over again when I realized that it wasn’t just me who had somehow missed it — almost no one seems to be talking about this game. After more than 100 hours, I still find myself wandering around, impressed by what other players have built. Pax Dei feels like one of those games we used to dream about years ago, and I really hope more people discover it.
This is a beautiful game with great potential. Get ranged combat spells and healing worked out and you will have a winner.
Pax Dei in late 2026 has a lot to offer but that being said, it is not for everyone so the 7-day trial is awesome of them to provide. The game drops you in equipped with basics; then, focuses heavily on self directed quests for material gathering and returning to your chosen 'plot' location to create the best base you can. This game does not spoon feed you anything but rather fills you with a sense of accomplishment. Pacing-wise, it is much more akin to Bellwright, No Mans Sky or Medieval Dynasty. Everything is hard earned through exploration, skill craft and teamwork; with a very friendly community. There currently seems to be no dynamic weather or hard survival mechanics which makes Pax Dei feel like a very relaxed gathering game. The cooking and food skills do offer stat-boosts much like Valheim. This allows players to fortify before fighting in-game enemies. Additionally, players hotbar abilities are determined by the perks that their crafted gear gives them; making this similar to Albion Online. The game performs well and does feature some level of direction with mission rewards; for the players who are more linearly focused. While many structures are player made, there are also many hostile enemy infested locations too. The game requires time and chipping away at it to really get rolling. Subscriptions are not necessary to play the game. Your base plot will stay in the world for 30 days upon which you can optionally purchase a subscription, a singular land plot token or even earn enough in-game gold to purchase 'Grace tokens' to keep your plot active. If you do lose your plot due to inactivity your hard earned materials are put in a ghosted bank for withdrawal called a personal redeeming que. The game does feature a player driven economy but to make this title even more enticing for low level newcomers and to circulate gold better, it would be nice to have a global or region based market. It would also be fun to have daily region events that give reason for players to gather in a friendly manner, meet their community and earn some easy gold coins. All in all, if you like making your own fun and you want a beautiful relaxing game to kick back with some snacks, Pax Dei might just be your might and magic homesteading game
