Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 691/day in the week to Jul 17 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

plot decay is a no for me. invest hours into building a plot only to have it disappear. Can't get on the game all the time. This is a game killer for me. Going to uninstall this one and never look back. It had promise. Really disappointed. I even overlooked the insane crafting system requiring you to grind crafting for days to do anything at all. This is the nail in the coffin for me. Goodbye.
Update: After 20 hours in R46, I have revised my review to recommended. I don't think this game is for everyone, but I would have to say it is the best sandbox MMORPG at the moment. Despite the many many problems, Mainframe seems to be making forward progress. It is slow going but nonetheless moving in the right direction. It is one step back, two steps forward. R46 performance is improved and the spawn issues seem to be under control. I have not done dungeons yet this release so I cannot speak to the aggro fix. For R46, I would recommend this game if you like group content, grinding, rabbit hole level crafting, and if you are OK with zero game provided quest, vendor, lore, or theme park content. I actually like this exact type of game and there is a light at the end of the tunnel for proper implementation. Here is a game I want so badly to love. It is a good concept and exactly the type of MMORPG I was waiting for. It ticks all the boxes; sandbox, pvp, player housing, classless, open world, grindy. Ultimately, It's a functioning proof of concept released as a full game. Here is what bothers me. First and worse is the mechanics. The game feels so sluggish and responsive. It is some of the worst combat I have ever experienced in an MMO. I feel like I am nudging my character along to take action. the hits land perceptively long after the keystrokes/mouse clicks and even the animations. Everything just seems really out of sync. Other MMOs have this issue but Pax Dei suffers greatly from this. Second is the crafting grind. I like a good grind. Unfortunately, this is a repetitive and unrewarding grind. Hours and hours of mining and chopping to craft the same parts/items over and over for weeks on end just to move up a level or two. In order to craft special more powerful items you need reagents so rare they aren't even on offer in any player shop or in a company stockpile. I totally respect having a system that gets exponentially harder and rewards hours of effort, but its just so punishing. after 200 hours of mostly gather/craft grinding and focusing on only 2 types of crafting, I still cannot craft items for mid-level PVE content. The other issue I have with crafting in this game is that it becomes orders of magnitude less grindy with occasional updates, rendering my hours and hours of effort meaningless. This is after multiple years of early access and months after full release. Third is the inventory. This is one of those games where half of the time is spent managing miserly grids of inventories or running vast distances to unload your items. I get what they are going for with trying to be realistic with resource locality. However, the limit it number of stacks of items rather than weight or bulk. I can carry an acre dense forest of fallen timber in my backpack but only a few hundred flax seeds, for example. I spent whole hours long sessions just managing stacks of items in my house, just to prepare to craft. I like the idea that inventory should take some effort and planning, and that not all resources should be freely available every where at all times. This is just not fun the way it is currently. Fourth is the building system. This is actually the best feature of game. My complaints here are related to the inventory and the snapping system. It would be nice to just build and not have to juggle inventory and have materials pile up on the floor or in mid air when doing tear downs. The snapping system is one of those where you have to have your mouse on an exact pixel to get the position right in many cases. It can be maddening. Fifth is group content. I like group content and am willing to use discord and deal with profanity and other uncouth expressions and be on a microphone and be accountable to the group when doing PvP or difficult content. I was in two different companies that were active in my time in this game. The problem with group content is multifaceted. For one thing, the max group size is 6. If not everyone in your group is leveled and geared properly, for most content, you need all 6 players. If you have more than 6 people that want to group then the parties are forced to compete for xp and loot since parties can not share (at least at the time of writing). This makes its so that you need exactly 6 people online at the same time with empty inventories, with the correct and corresponding gear, and in the same location. From the time someone says, “let’s do a dungeon” or “let’s do a camp”, to gaining xp, looting and having a fun time, is at least an hour. People need to stop what they are working on, drop of their inventories, find the gear, decide who is doing what role (if you happen to have people leveled in more than one role), add everyone to the party, then either run or have everyone spend in game currency to fast travel to the location (which is not marked on the map if its a dungeon). Now the good things. The game is gorgeous. It looks amazing. You do need a really decent rig to be able to enjoy this. On a low end rig it looks pretty good, but nothing like how it could. Even though I consider this a Pay to Win game, as long as you can afford premium, it’s pretty fair. No loot boxes, or cash shop, or payed powerups. To be clear, you NEED to have premium to play the game for the XP boost and fast travel currency. As grindy as this game is it would sadomasochistic to play the game with out premium. Pax Dei has potential. I will check in after a year and check the progress. Good luck!

A friend bought this for me so I feel bad giving a negative review. But there is no taking a break with this game. You can't go play something else and then come back. Yes you get a plot for free, but the requirements to get enough of the currency to keep your free plot means you will be playing this almost every day for the 30 days of your plot life. I could get past the AFK crafting, the upgraded tools that actually work slower than your old tools, etc but its the fact you cant leave the game alone. I know because I didnt continue to fork over my wallet, my 30 hours I sunk into my base is just all gone. Even if I had continued to play casually I wouldve lost everything. If I wanted to restart everytime I wanted to play another game, Id choose a game that has server wipes that don't charge you for them. TL:DR If you dont play this game every day, work life or not, you will lose everything you worked for every 30 days. And that alone makes the game hard to come back to, knowing all your hard work is gone because you didnt pay.
PLEASE just give us more resources per gather. and stop making games a job. I want to have fun. make games fun again.
Pozdrawiam
Pax Dei review – A beautiful but empty grindfest Pax Dei is one of those games that immediately impresses you visually. The world looks great, the atmosphere is charming, and the medieval aesthetic is genuinely well done. But once you get past the surface, the experience starts to fall apart. The biggest issue is the grind. Everything takes far too long, from gathering basic materials to progressing your village. It’s not the satisfying kind of grind either, just repetitive, slow, and not particularly rewarding. After a few hours, it stops feeling like a sandbox and starts feeling like a chore list. Then there’s the player population, or rather, the lack of it. For two days straight, I walked into a village that looked like it should be bustling with life, and found nothing. Empty buildings, no players, no activity. It genuinely felt like a ghost town, In a game built around community and cooperation, that’s a pretty big red flag. And the subscription for the plot? On a buy‑to‑play game, it feels unnecessary. You already pay to get in, and then you’re asked to pay again just to maintain your land (Unless you farm even more grace to use the plot). It’s not a great look, especially when the world itself feels deserted. To make matters worse, at the time of writing there are only 879 players worldwide. With multiple servers split across each region, you can imagine how fragmented the population is. No wonder entire villages feel abandoned. And I presume the developers will shut down the remaining servers once the playerbase dips even more. With numbers already this low, it’s hard to see them maintaining so many empty shards. Overall, Pax Dei has potential and definitely looks nice, but right now it’s held back by excessive grind, empty servers, and questionable monetization. In its current state, it’s hard to recommend.
Graphics : 9/10 Landscape design: 8/10 Grind: 1001/10 Gameplay: 7/10 Lore: What is Lore?... Baby don't hurt me. Guild system: 6/10 Economy: You need an ecosystem so to build an economy and Pax Dei lacks exactly that. Could be one of the best MMOrpg of the last 5 years. Still a lot to deliver, hope it will. Recommending it, just to add myself to the other voices hoping this game will get the support it deserves.
