Paraplasm: Beyond the Veil

Well I guess not bad. I got the idea perfectly, execution not that perfect. But still I give a thumbs up, this fella can develop himself/herself for a better game. 2.7/5, good luck on next one!

Would be good if there was a mixed reviiew button but there isn't so i dont like leaving negative reviews. Well finished that game a few weeks ago. hmmmm it was ok but.... for $1.50 your getting 20 minutes of gameplay....if that...there's a few cutscenes that are not long its the devs 2nd game so im trying to be nice here without being too critical The problem with this horror is the following * Severe headbob when running from the monsters and you cant disable it so you feel nauseous running. * Its not a long horror game and each area/level is made up of gameplay that takes 5 minutes to finish * usual unity marketplace assets that weve seen across 50 other horror games - the grumpy man, the woman, the beard dude. Guess he didnt make his own stuff as per the notes i read somewhere. The backrooms part was pretty fun, i got smashed a few times by the monsters but the headbob was awful here and terrible. Wou;d be good to turn it off but you cant. * Not much gameplay in each level. Each new level takes 5 minutes. The red area you repeat about 4-5 times ut different things happen but still only takes 2-3 minutes. * the pool area was alright but not hard to find the exit. * WAS IT WORTH THE $1.50? NOT REALLY, for 20 minutes. SHOULD BE A FREE GAME or on special for 70c due to the 20 mintues or rless gametime. I didnt mind it. I didnt hate it. Was good to play it as I played the demo. OH you can't pause the game otherwise it QUITS the game, so you have to finish it in one sitting (developer tells us that at the start of the game). The developer says hes going to make a 2nd one (end of game text) so lets see if he can imrprove .

Paraplasm: Beyond the Veil is an impressive first outing from a solo developer! The atmosphere is thick with mystery, drawing you into its eerie world with fantastic design and ambiance. While there are some rough edges, it’s a solid experience that shows great promise for future projects. Worth checking out if you’re into indie horror!
