About
A whimsical and lively garden somewhere in the distant future gets invaded by color-slurping aliens and ends up completely desaturated. The garden robot is on a mission to cleanse the aliens of their gluttony and restore the color palette.
Palette Cleanser is a sweet, compact 3D platformer lovingly crafted by students from Breda University of Applied Sciences over the course of eight months.

Swiftly dash and jump around the level controlling an adorable robot, cleansing critters along the way to keep your speed up and your spirits high!

These cheeky little aliens think they've taken over, but not for long! Collect them and bring them to safety of their own silliness. But watch out, some might fight back...

Experience a playful twist on size as a tiny robot exploring a HUGE garden! Wander in an open-ended environment and watch the world around you spring back to color as you progress!
Well, the development team couldn't figure out if the player is: slurp & sliding, dash & riding, zip & zapping, jump & pumping, boot & scooting, hop & bopping, surf & turfing, smooch & smacking, blink & skipping, boom & zooming, Plink & Plonk™-ing, but in any case you go very fast, so how about you just go and figure out and tell us later in the reviews.

Palette Cleanser is a good, very short, and worthwhile play. For a free game created by students, it's good. + Non-trivial control mechanics; sliding, cleansing, intricate + Intricate, dense level (environment/world) + Stylized menus * Clense critters, clense objectives * 7 min playthrough * Works okay with keyboard and mouse, despite only having gamepad guidance - Only keyboard input guidance, no keyboard and mouse guidance - Menus work; menu control felt barebone, with smaller issues

Very nice and super cute! I loved the cozy and chill vibes and bringin color into the garden was very satisfying. My favorite this was turning the evil little dudes into cute little dudes, how they started forming trains and followed me was so cute omgggg I finished the game in about 20min (played offline so didnt record) and it was a satisfying progression, but I kinda wanted to spend more time in the garden after it ended, so if there were some challenge to collect all the little dudes I would have loved to do that. I generally felt the game was super accessible but maybe a bit too easy? Like I always had wayyy more dudes collected than I needed for the next sprinkler so maybe would have liked if the difficulty was a bit higher, but I'm just this type of player and probably for the wider audience this difficulty is more appealing. The level design was great, very clear paths and satisfying use of verticality, loved the uses of garden objects as platforms and obstacles. My only real issue was idk if I just couldn't figure it out, but it seemed that I cannot stop the character from moving only if I bumped into something - and it's nice that it's a constant movement, I do like that, but I often wanted to look around the garden to see where the sprinklers are + wanted to stop myself when reached a sprinkler, but I just couldn't, the character kept going, I slid off the platform and had to get back up to the sprinkler again. If on pressing the RT again I stopped this wouldn't be a problem I think. But those issues are minor compared to how fun the game is, very good job guys! I needed this cuteness in my life:)
Good short free game. The controls are super easy and the game is straight forward on what you have to do. Quick 5-15 minute game to complete all achievements.

A small student project with a single decently sized stage where you zoom around washing away the grey and dull to reveal the colors behind, as you free small creatures needed to power the water spraying stations. Short and wonderful omage to some old school games. Personally I see some influences from games such as Super Mario Sunshine, Rocket: Robot on Wheels, Pikmin and more. The game could easily be expanded upon by adding more maps/stages and maybe even boss fights.
What a nice game! Sound design is awesome. World design is great. Gameplay was a bit difficult at first on keyboard but you get to it really fast. Getting the 100% was easier than i though. Keep the good work !
JUEGAZO 😎👍💛🌟
Very cool idea! I had so much fun collecting the little critters and the world is really beautiful! I wish it was longer! I hope all the best for the students working on this project! You'll create something big someday, I can feel it! <3
