It's hard to walk away from! This reminds me of something Zachtronics would release. It's thinky, but not too slow paced. I love the variety of towers and the way the maps progress. Your old towers eventually are obsolete, and if you are wise, you can plan ahead for the next section. Thank goodness for the time slows! The graphics are nostalgic and very Tron-like (same setting I guess) and the audio matches well too!
Honestly I think the game is super, super fun. As someone who doesn't particularly like tower defense games, this one is very inviting. Simple but pleasing to the eye aesthetics and a proper crawl, walk, run abilities progression is awesome. I do think the procedural generation and the wall mechanics can be brutally unfair at times. Maybe it'll be balanced out over time or maybe there will be a beginner mode where the wall timer only starts after all of the enemies are beaten. I think the game as is is very entertaining and I'm looking forward to gameplay of someone smarter than me absolutely crushing this game.

I had a chance to play this in an earlier build before, and even then I could tell it was going to be fun. Now that it's fully released, I'm happy to have that confirmed. Like another reviewer, I'm not generally a big Tower Defense person, but this game kinda flips the idea around where you don't get to choose where the "turrets" go. Instead the gameplay is base around manipulating how the "bullets" get to the enemies. It's a really cool concept, and along with how the playing field changes over time you can't just set up one thing and sit back. You are always re-engaging and changing tactics. Very cool!
My favourite program is Femme Fatale
A refreshing tower defense game that innovates and plays like none other I've played thanks to its roguelike deckbuilding elements. It was very fun discovering powerful programs and combos that bulldozed a run, but after figuring out when to skip and what programs to fish for, grabbing the same handful of cards mixed with reroll and stockpile programs eventually gets old. Worth the 15$ for the 7 hours I played at the time of writing, but I'm still crossing my fingers there will be a major update or two. There's a solid foundation for an extremely addictive loop, but even as a shorter gaming experience It was fun to solve it.
This has been an interesting tower defense game. It is kinda hard but does become learnable which is pretty cool! I used some of the menu options to lower the difficulty and I expect I'll be able to remove them as I get better. The music is nice to vibe to. If you need a game that you can play for 15 minutes or for hours, this is a great option.
Deck builder tower defense roguelike? What's not to like?
Very fun and addicting game. The soundtrack is SO GOOD and really contributes to the endless "just one more game" feeling. It feels daunting going in, even after playing the tutorial, but it starts to make sense quickly and the gameplay loop grips you right after that first wipe.
