Great shoot'em with interesting procedural levels, great soundtrack and very nice graphics. The different power ups make the game a lot interesting.
This is a good one! It is a lot of fun to play.

I put off trying this because I thought it would be too easy, but honestly I enjoyed my first hour a lot more than I thought I would. I even unlocked hard mode by the end of my session #humblebrag. Great game so far with good difficulty pacing. I'm glad there are no permanent upgrades, only unlocks.
A beautifully designed arcade game in the old-school tradition. And it was made by just one person using my favorite engine, Godot.
It's games like this that serve as a reminder as to why the shmup genre might just be my favourite genre of games overall (with only character action games rivalling them for me). There are multiple branching level paths to choose from here which adds a lot of replay value. There are also some roguelike elements here which change the enemies and bosses you will encounter in each stage as well as the items that you will find which makes it so that no 2 runs will ever be the exact same. The music is also pretty enjoyable here. If you like shmups in general and this one is on sale, then this one is a no-brainer.
Super fun rougelike take on the Darius style of shmups. A lot of cool weapons and bosses, and the controls feel just right. While I wasn't initially impressed by the screenshots, the game looks REALLY good in motion.
As someone who's really enjoyed playing Darius Gaiden on the Cosmic Collection, Operation S.T.E.E.L. was right up my alley! This game has an addictive and highly replayable Darius-like loop of choosing your path at the end of each level and trying to find the best paths to take to net you the highest score. Operation S.T.E.E.L. also has roguelike elements (mostly determining what bosses you'll face and power-ups you'll find) that are incorporated seamlessly and don't feel intrusive to the overall gameplay. Each playthrough (even those cut short by a Game Over) brings you closer to unlocking new ships and weapons, adding even more variety to an already replayable game! There's also an easier mode for beginners and a fun Time Attack/Caravan mode! The visuals and music are also pleasing to the eyes and ears. Overall, if you're a fan of Bullet Hell games, roguelikes, and shoot-em-ups in general, you should give this game a shot! Also there's an achievement for "Beating Cancer". What more do you want?
It's a 7.5 gameplay wise. Continue doesn't work, and there is also a code you can put your last save spot with your loadout. That doesn't work either. I'll come back in a couple of months to see if it's fixed and possibly update my review. Frustrating.
