About
Build a race setup. Fix what is making you slow. Do it without leaving your sim.
onRails is a transparent overlay that sits on top of your sim. Answer a few questions about how the car feels, and it helps you build a complete setup: springs, dampers, aero, brakes, diff, tailored to your car and track, across 9 supported sims. Then, lap by lap or mid-race, tell it what the car's doing wrong and get the exact change to fix it. No spreadsheets, no alt-tabbing, no downloading a stranger's setup and hoping it works for your style.
Four tools:
Pick your car and track, answer simple questions about how the car feels in each setup area, and onRails builds a complete starting setup around your answers. By the time you're done, you know why every value is what it is, not just what it is. All major car types and track layouts are supported.

You're in the ballpark, but something's off. Log your lap time, describe how the car behaved overall, and get a ranked list of specific changes with plain explanations. Confirm one, log your next stint, and watch the times drop.
Pick the direction, the phase (entry, apex, exit), and what's happening, and get advice scoped to that corner alone, so fixing it doesn't unsettle the rest of the lap.

A keyboard-only assistant that takes up almost no screen space. One hotkey to toggle, numpad to answer a couple of quick questions, and you get a one-line pit-call recommendation you can act on immediately.

onRails automatically detects your simulator and pulls tire temps and lap times straight in as you drive, no manual entry, no leaving the cockpit. A hotkey capture is still there if you'd rather trigger it yourself.
Supported sims: Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa EVO, Automobilista 2, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, Project Cars 2, RaceRoom Racing Experience, rFactor 2. Any other sim still works via manual entry.
Runs as a windowed panel or a transparent overlay on top of your sim, no second monitor required. Panels, hotkeys, and theme are all yours to customize, fully localized, with built-in tutorials for every panel. Includes the companion eBook "Race Car Setup: Think Like a Race Engineer, Drive Like a Pro", free with your purchase.

OnRails is a fantastic addition to my sim racing hobby. I have never been good with car setups, but I know when a car is set up properly when I start pushing it. Most of my “good” setups have been taken from the AMS2 TT leaderboards. But now with this program, I can build them myself from scratch. The Lap Time Wizard takes your driver input and offers suggestions of what setup changes to make to get the feeling that you want in a car. It’s so easy to say what you’re feeling, apply the suggested changes, and see if it works. I’ve already used the program to win a league race. OnRails is such a no brainer in terms of additions to your sim racing applications. It’s a one-time cost instead of a subscription like most, if not all, other setup aides are these days. Do yourself a favor and pick up OnRails to help get your own race winning setups.
This is a really great piece of software. I’ve struggled with making setups going all the way back to the Papyrus NASCAR racing titles in the 1990s, and this has always prevented me from really competing online. OnRails has helped me make adjustments when my car isn’t handling well and has definitely lowered my times. I currently only do stock car oval racing in iRacing, so I can't speak to other forms of racing or other racing titles. But for what I do, it has helped immensely. The eBook included is a really nice bonus that covers many of the fundamentals of setting up a race car. Highly recommended!

Great app. Lets you start from scratch or improve on an existing set up. Makes it easy to make and track the changes you make and gives you the ability to set the car up to do exactly what you want it to do.
I've sim raced for many years and always struggled with building & fine tuning setups and knowing what direction to go and what to tweak to find that balance that suits my driving style and give me the confidence to push the car to the limit. onRials has given me that direction, within the first hour I had built a base setup for the Merc GT3 @Imola in AMS2 that was 8 tenths quicker than my best previous race setup, and that was just a base setup, I'm still yet to refine and tune that base setup for Quali & Race trim. Personally, I've found this app to be a great asset to my Sim Racing. It gives me the info I need to tune the car, which, hopefully in time will become 2nd nature. onRails is like having my own Race Engineer at my fingertips, patiently waiting for my input to assist in building the perfect setup for my Driving Style. I only wish I had something like onRails when I first started Simracing 20+ years ago, would of made all the difference.
Great app to help walk you through the complexity of tuning your car.
a very interesting software ,unique in its kind, that helps you concretely in the development of a setup for any stimulator ,is truly educational because it explains in detail what and how you have to do to improve and realize what works and what doesn't In the process of building the setup.
