I seldom write reviews, as I just let it cross my mind when I finish a game. OneShot is not a game I will forget about. Without spoiling any pivotal points or features of this game, as it is absolutely best experienced blind, if you've avoided spoilers, stop reading this little review and buy the game. OneShot is a game that shatters what it means to be a game, establishing connections with the characters that fell real, treating you as a person, someone truly important to someone else. And with some of the concepts presented throughout the story of OneShot, it, in a way, becomes real. I had the pleasure of playing through this game spoiler free, and I couldn't have ever guessed the emotion I would feel from the many moments in this game. The hesitation, the sadness, and the joy were all very present in my mind from around mid-way to the end, and I haven't experienced something like it since I finished UNDERTALE six years back. The puzzles are all enjoyable, although sometimes a tad confusing if you did something meant for the end of the puzzle before getting a grip on what you're meant to do. But you would not buy OneShot for the gameplay, but for the story. I've never experienced a game that conveys such a complex and symbolic story in a way that's not confusing or over-the-top. If you have read this far and haven't played it, just buy it, its 10 dollars for a game that will stick with you for a long time, I know it sure will for me. OneShot is also a game that requires a certain type of care from the player to be experienced to the fullest, however, It wont hinder it if you don't have that, but will make it so much more impactful if you do, as you need to care enough to let go. An incredible game with a hauntingly beautiful to downright crushingly sad soundtrack paired with a story that should be experienced by everyone, you have one real shot at playing this game unspoiled, so play it. 10/10.
