About
One Day To Live is a post-apocalyptic VR zombie survival game where every sunrise could be your last.
What began as a controllable virus spiraled into apocalypse when the vaccine's efficacy diminished. Governments collapsed, cities fell silent, and billions succumbed. Now, scattered survivors like you scavenge the remnants of civilization, racing against the clock to secure your next injection. The infected, once friends, family, and strangers, roam in relentless packs, their humanity lost to the insatiable hunger. Will you outlast the dawn, or become one of them?
Time-Critical Survival: Your life hangs on a 24-hour cycle. Track your infection levels in real-time as they increase, forcing desperate decisions. Raid a fortified military facility for boosters, or risk a detour through zombie-infested homes? Every choice impacts your fate.
Open World: Explore a vast wasteland spanning abandoned neighborhoods, overgrown forests, industrial ruins, and hidden bunkers. Weather events, day-night cycles, and evolving zombie behaviors keep the environment unpredictable and deadly.
Resource Management: Scavenge for medical supplies, weapons, and boosters.
Intense Combat and Stealth: Face hordes with improvised tactics or clever distractions. Go loud with explosions and full-auto, or slip through shadows to avoid detection. Mutated zombie variants add layers of horror, from fast-runners to armored brutes.
Permadeath and Replayability: Death is permanent, but each run unlocks new starting locations and world variations. Difficulty levels amp up the tension with shorter infection windows, fewer items, and super tough zombies.
Multiplayer CO-OP or Free-For-All: Play with friends, or enemies...
Exclusively for Virtual Reality: OpenXR, supports all headsets and controllers.

Reviews
I have been play testing One Day to Live while the developer was working on it and I just saw that the game went live so I wanted to be among the first to leave a review. I love the vibe of this game. You run around in a big open world full of zombies and other enemies, searching for weapons, ammo, and meds that slow your ever increasing infection rate. The goal is to survive through the night until the next morning, after which you have one final objective to complete, followed by a really fun ending sequence. Your loadout and the loot spawns are random every time you start a new game, so it keeps it interesting to replay. Graphics are decent and the dynamic weather effects are great. The world is gigantic, but a lot of it is just empty forest. There is still a lot to explore in the populated parts of the map though, and you can also climb on pretty much every surface, so there is a lot of vertical exploration to be had as well. You might climb to the top of a building and find some good loot stashed on the roof. Overall, I think this is a great game by a talented indie dev and if you are into survival horror or zombie shooters, you should definitely check it out!
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my VR gameplay here (and see that I was having a blast minus the crashes): https://youtu.be/WU0Ol0W7W1Q I really do NOT want to give this game a negative review. However, I must. It just crashed too many times. I don't consider the game to be in a playable state. HOWEVER, I was having a blast playing this indie zombie horror survival game. While it does get some things wrong, it also gets a lot of things right. The game, when it's not crashing, is fun to play. You feel the rush of all the zombies and trying to survive another hour. The map looks nice. This isn't the best looking VR game out there, but it actually looks like a PCVR game circa 2019/2020. The guns feel good. Aiming down sights is satisfying. The attachments, when you can find them, are cool. The nades are freaking awesome. Near perfect. Opening doors is well done (something rare in VR games these days). Melee could be better. The inventory / holster system needs a severe upgrade. The feel of walking is pretty bad. It feels like you're skating. I was getting a steady 90 fps / 72 fps (link cable) on my RTX 5090. I was getting crashes no matter what I did, however, the game crashed a lot less using link cable. When I used VD, the game would crash within 5 minutes. You have full locomotion available, along with smooth and snap turning. There is a seated mode. Game needs a crouch button (if there is one, I couldn't figure out how). You can jump though. Rate 4.5/10. Without the crashes, I would probably gave given the game a 7 or 7.5. It is that fun. You guys know I'm a tough grader.
I bought this game! I have a lot of fun playing this game. The gunplay is smooth, the grenades are really well done and great for a pickup game of baseball. This game has a big map and a fun loot system, good inventory system, and has a lot of replayability.
I keep getting a fatal error that keeps crashing the game. I cant play it if it keeps crashing. refunding it.
this game is not fun maybe ill try it again one day but for now poor graphics no settings menu it doesnt run well i lag during every shoot out its making me think i have stick drift when my controller is fine its really not a good time if it ran the way it should it could be a great game also it keeps crashing even after the update CAN I GET A SWEET BABY RAYS!
Bought this game and played for less than an hour and it crashed on me. I refunded the game. The developer said he thought he fixed the issue so i bought it again. The game initially worked until i tried multiplayer with a friend and it was unplayable. Kept freezing and crashing. Could be fun if it just worked.
