I was recommended by a friend to play this game back in 2022, which was the worst period of my life. However, it ended up truly saving my life, as silly as that may sound. All of the characters are relatable in one way or another, and also extremely motivational- at least for me. The dialogue when you go to the Backstage was by far the most impactful to me, because it gave me the confidence to retake control of my life; especially Hero's part. Actually, Hero as a whole really helped me. I recently achieved Universally Loved, which has always been my most favorite one. It feel like it's very important to know others love you, and especially to have it be shown so obviously and "in your face," y'know? To me, this achievement shows that no matter how much you may hide yourself away or think you're bad or unlovable... there are so many people out there that still love you despite all the negative thoughts in your head. That means SO much to a person, especially to one who struggles with those thoughts and the ability to acknowledge it. I used to struggle with that, and sometimes I still do, but I'm always reminded by the people I surround myself with that I'm loved so much more than I think. So, while reading all the notes, I may or may not have bawled my eyes out. It hit harder than the Final Duet. It's so much more than just an achievement; it means so much to me. This game will always be my favorite. It'll hold a special place in my heart forever. I live by a lot of things said in this game now and I always will. I've even gotten a tattoo, and I'm planning to get more sometime in the future. I wholeheartedly believe everyone should play this game at one point, because it's so beautiful and well written and so impactful and just... Honestly, I can't describe it anymore in the way I would like to. It's truly an amazing game.
man, don't leave me again
귀여운 그래픽에 그렇지 않은 이야기. 스토리가 좀 친다. 스토리를 처음 봤다면 여운이 안남을 수가 없는 게임. 턴제 전투와 도트 그레픽에 거부감이 없다면 정말 추천함
It's so good, the gameplay is so fun and the artstyle is so hand-drawn and aesthetically-pleasing and the story seems to be rly rly good (i'm only 12 hours in but it already seems good and i've heard from others that it's good too)
8.5/10
I hated this game, so let me tell you how to enjoy it. Don't go into the game thinking it's going to be an amazing story told amazingly, because it's not told amazingly at all (in my opinion). The only other RPG games I've played are Deltarune and Undertale, so playing a game as bland as this was quite painful, so don't hold the game to high expectations. The only story you'll get is some occasionally drip fed moments with large gaps in between, and then pages of exposition. However, I do believe if you go secret hunting, you will actually get a somewhat good pacing of story told. There are so many moments of absolutely nothing advancing the story and that made me hate the game the most, as long as you don't expect good pacing, you should be fine. I hated the game for like 95% of it, so personally, I didn't care about the story, especially as the game felt like it was, "vague post, vague post, allusion, allusion, indie game allegory for depression and suicide, vague post, oh, the horror, it's so horror, that day was so horror, wow so horrible, info dump." There are some clever foreshadowing/details I did enjoy, but small pieces of candy don't make up for torture. I also don't think the story was told very well, but that's an opinion. I don't regret playing this game and I appreciate at what it tries to do. I do think headspace had the absolute worst pacing and was just really bad at what it was supposed to be. I won't go into spoilers, but I definitely think it could've been done much better. The game never once made me think, 'Wow, I can't wait to learn more about the story, it's so captivating, I want to play more!' I'm certain that the story was powerful and good as so many people like it, but the game was so bad I lost all interest extremely quickly. I still don't know what people see in this game, but try it for yourself. Just don't have expectations for this game.
