Super jeu!

Ponieważ to projekt studencki, całkowicie rozumiem, dlaczego brakuje w nim matchmakingu.

Do not bother, you can't play. No servers, no server list, no way to find other players period not even a discord channel. Half baked.
Off Gridders is a free multiplayer sports game that mixes parkour movement with a simple team based ball game. I am playing in teams of three in an abandoned industrial arena, trying to move the ball around the field and score while using running, sliding, jumping and dashes to get around the opposition. I like the idea because it does not feel like a normal sports game. It has more of an arcade feeling, with the movement and physical chaos being just as important as actually getting the ball into the scoring area. It was also made by students from ISART Digital as a final year project, which makes the amount of work put into the game pretty impressive. The movement is probably the part I enjoy most. I can run around the arena, slide, jump and use dashes to move quickly, which gives me a lot more freedom than simply running around on a flat football pitch. Passing and dribbling are important too, so I am not just trying to carry the ball from one end to the other. I have to think about where I am moving and when I should pass, while also trying to stop the other team from getting into a good position. When the movement and passing work together, the matches can feel quick and energetic. I also like the setting more than I expected. The game takes place in a near future version of Britain where young rebels have turned an abandoned district into their own sports arena. The industrial surroundings give the matches a bit of personality, while the colourful stylised character designs stop the whole thing from feeling too serious. There is a nice contrast between the dystopian background and the almost playful way the sport is presented. It is not a game I would play for the story, but I think the setting gives the basic gameplay a little more identity. The biggest problem for me is that the overall package feels small. The core idea is fun, but there is only so much I can get from running around arenas and playing the same basic sport. Because the game is focused almost entirely on online multiplayer, the experience depends heavily on having matches available and having enough variety in the gameplay itself. There are online and LAN PvP options as well as online and LAN co op support, which is useful, but I would have liked more modes, arenas or mechanics to make the game feel like something I could keep coming back to for a much longer time. I also think the game shows where its student project origins are noticeable. The main concept is clear and the movement gives it some personality, but it does not have the depth or polish I would expect from a much larger competitive sports game. Some of the systems feel like a strong starting point rather than a fully developed formula. That is not necessarily a criticism of the ambition behind it. In fact, I think the team made some good choices by keeping the idea simple enough to actually work. I just wish there was more built around that foundation. What helps is that Off Gridders is completely free, so I can try the whole thing without having to make a commitment. I think that is important here because the game is very much about seeing whether the movement and team sport concept works for me. I like that it does not bury a straightforward idea under loads of unnecessary progression systems. I can get into a match, learn the movement and see what I think without spending hours figuring out menus or character builds. Overall, Off Gridders is a fun little multiplayer experiment with a good central idea. I like the parkour movement, passing, dashing, colourful arenas and the unusual combination of sports and action gameplay. The limited amount of content and fairly basic overall structure stop it from reaching the higher ratings I give to games with much more depth, but I think there is enough here to make it worthwhile as a free game. For me, it feels more like a promising small project than a fully developed competitive sports game, but there is definitely some fun to be had when the movement and team play come together. Rating: 7.4/10
This game has so much potential I really liked it. The graphics can use some polishing. I also did run into a bug where I was able to hit the ball as the countdown for the round was going and it had glitched the ball under the map and when starting up the default key binds were not WASD . When this game gets more people I would really be down to play again Overall 7/10.
