NORCO is a dialogue-focused point & click adventure that immerses the player in the sinking suburbs and industrial swamplands of an increasingly surreal and distorted South Louisiana.

A classic point and click adventure, which initially looks it might be interesting, but after a while becomes akward and clearly not well put together: it is like playing "Monkey Island" or "Space Quest without the punchlines, or "Gateaway" without the great story. There is this mix of very slight "futurism" (sentient robots and deceased engrams) in a world not really advanced that cannot justify having it, where the two things don't mix well at all, and the characters are never explored in deep: they just do, or did, stuff, but everything is just "there", without much thought or consequences. Imagine going through the life of your boring neighbour, who tries to scrap some money from a phone app, and then, his son trying to find out where he went. Nothing interesting happens, and everything is about putting the right item on the right highlighted place, "because reasons". After a short while the story becomes boring, because you never feel invested in what's going on. You just go forward because you bought the game, and that's what you do, but you'd rather prefer to play anything else. The puzles are uninteresting and and some time irritating, like repeating fast played sequences of cards, by tapping them again and again. The final nail in the coffin is that, 2/3 across the game, a code for a crane in the industrial plant did not work for me, and there the game ends. Just a waste of time and boredom. I watched the rest of the game to end through a YT playthrough and all remained in my memory was why I wasted so much time on a worthless, uninvolving story. I like Adventure games which I played since the original "Zork", but they need to be either silly and fun, or really intriguing in the story. Graphic limitations were a necessity back them, not a feature, and could be overcomed with interesting narratives, here the game treats those limitations as "Features".

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Was good
great writing and art. I wish every game could make me feel the things this does
9/10
