About
Noblesse Oblige: Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings is an epic high fantasy ruler RPG being built in an episodic format. As a solo developer, I strive to deliver a game of the highest quality, the kind I've always wanted to play myself, with innovative turn-based combat, a richly developed world, memorable characters, romance, and an in-depth story.

At present, new chapters of the game are released every 3-4 months. Old save compatibility with new versions is always maintained, so you can always pick up where you left off when a new version releases.

...and many more to discover!
What does it mean to be nobility? Is it no more than an inherited title, or does it hold some greater meaning? To some, nobility is not merely a station to be held, but an obligation to be met, and yet... Can such convictions hold firm in the face of intrigue, betrayal, and overwhelming odds?
Noblesse Oblige: Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings tells the story of Alexander, an idealistic yet pragmatic nobleman, and his companions. They will have need of cunning and conviction in equal measure, if they are to navigate the intricacies of politics, intrigue, ruling, and love amidst a tempestuous civil war. Kingdoms dance upon the stage set by those who rule them, and upon this one shall play out a war born from the confluence of three unyielding wills...
Upon his return from studying in a distant land, Alexander’s birthright has been stolen and his lands thrown into chaos. Faced with this betrayal and the sudden loss of all that he has spent his life preparing for, he must take up the sword and retake what is his. But a true ruler does not—cannot—live by the sword alone, not if he seeks to create something that can endure. No, victory in battle may be essential, but true triumph comes in subtler ways: to claim a lasting, meaningful victory, Alexander must not merely crush or outwit his enemies, but also navigate the labyrinthine politics of court, inspire his people… and perhaps find love for himself amidst it all.
To some, the obligations of a lord are but a burden; to others, a farce. Yet to one like Alexander, who is possessed of the conviction to embrace his obligations, naught could bring greater satisfaction that using his power for good. Beneath the banner of such a lord gather allies, both those drawn by the flame of his will and those who have been touched by the light of his actions. Along the narrow path to victory, Alexander will gather a group of loyal companions—lovers, friends, rivals, allies, even those who were once his enemies, each with unique personalities and skills. Together with them, he will delve into the dark places of the world, traverse mountains, fight great battles... and perhaps most of all, struggle against those most terrible of shadows—those that lurk in the hearts of men, wrought by greed, hatred, envy, and sometimes lust.
But it is in deepest darkness that light can shine the brightest. Will you join Alexander on his journey to change the world for the better?
In Noblesse Oblige, every character is unique, with his or her own opinions, personality, and reasons for joining the party. Every party member has loyalty, driven by their opinions of choices made and paths taken; increasing loyalty unlocks powerful skill upgrades and extra story content for that character. In addition to their unique perspectives on the story, each of Alexander’s companions brings unique mechanics into battle. These include not only a wide variety of skills and playstyles, but also unique passive effects that shape how they approach combat. Combat in Noblesse Oblige is a novel take on the traditional turn-based RPG, one intended to promote skill and judicious use of abilities, rather than merely managing attrition or spamming generic attacks.
Beyond the battlefield, a lord must rule his realm. To see this done, Alexander must carefully build and manage key factors like Popular Support, Noble Support, Economic Status, Army Size, and Army Quality, factors that will have important impacts as the game proceeds. Hold court and rule upon upon the disputes that divide the realm, and determine where best to spend your Royal Funds for the good of the realm!

Other choices hold far greater import, shaping the very path you seek to walk: with whom to ally, who is most worthy of holding strategic lands, or what faith the realm should follow. These choices, though few, will have a lasting impact upon the story.
But ruling the realm is not without its perks. Any lord of any importance has need of a castle, and that castle should reflect its lord’s desires. Accordingly, Noblesse Oblige features a system allowing for extensive castle customization:

At present, Noblesse Oblige is free; when the game is closer to completion, this may change. For now, if you enjoy the game, please consider purchasing the optional Crown Loyalist DLC.

As rpg maker games go, "Noblesse Oblige- LotSK" together with "The Last Solvereign" are in a league of their own. Noblesse Oblige provides you with an intrincate political opera, mature writing, love interests and intimate sceenes (adult content included optional ). It will pull you in with excelent world building and different plot options with real consequences getting you deeper into it the further you go. If you enjoyed TLS, you'll enjoy this. If you are an rpg fan, chances are you will enjoy this. It's a win. Great game.
This game has become my new standard for RPG Maker games, and was my favourite game of the year in 2024. The environments are extensive and lovingly crafted, getting all you can from the limitations of RPG Maker. Every single NPC on screen can be talked to, and every single one has something unique to say. Some areas are visited multiple times, and the NPCs there will have different things to say depending on what happened and the player's previous choices. Likewise, most objects can be interacted with for the PC (often the companions as well) to comment on them in ways that neatly enrich the lore of the world. Aside from combat, exploration and a gripping story, the game has lots of choices which have meaningful consequences. Whether or not certain companions will join you, which factions will support or oppose you, who gets to live, etc. A few hours into the game, you get your own castle, where you have to listen to petitions and sit in judgment. The choices made there influence political, economic and military benefits, and you can't get everything because resources are limited. You can also design the interior of the castle as well as its gardens to your liking with a broad, but simple system. Some choices made during the game influence the kind of people who'll move into the castle, new buildings, soldiers and weapons are added to the castle depending on choices/investments. There is a wide variety of characters. Some you’ll love, some you’ll like, some you might hate, but few if any will leave you feeling indifferent. Every companion gets their time to shine as well. Lastly, the game does not waste your time. The number of enemies in each area has set limits with no respawning, so you don’t spend forever grinding. There are many optional quests that you can skip (though you shouldn’t, there are no generic “bring me twenty wolf pelts” fetch quests, every task you do enriches the world and its inhabitants while giving more resources for the war effort), and the game will tell you when you did everything you currently can in an area, and also warns you if you are about to progress past a point where you won’t be able to finish minor quests. Despite being in Early Access, the game already has a lot of replay value and is a very satisfying experience.

Given that this game is only 30% to 50% done and we still have much left to go, I will give this game the highest honor I possibly can. If this game has been released during the SNES ERA it would be considered a classic and one of the best RPG of all time. Play this game, it is amazing.
Completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ story with bad pacing that drags on and on for no real reason, main cast and allies are basically all modern ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a pseudo medieval-lite setting with an overly formal, and anachronistic, way of speaking if the medieval aesthetic was the intented point, most often pretentiousness trying to pass for eloquence, if it tries to be poetic it fails miserably, I don't mind reading, I do enjoy books, but here the Dev suffers severely from graphomania. Tldr. A Visual Novel filled with Libshit nonsense and a shallow coat of paint pretending to pass for a medieval setting, not the sole offender in this, but yet another.
my favorite political novella outside Suzerain very well made.
I am 9 hrs in and so far i am really enjoying it.Wonderful writing and interesting combat mechanics.Keep up the great work devs.
This rpg game have everything I expected, from good story telling, realistic decisions, even quite realistic mature interactions between character, very well thought combat system, the guides are very clear, etc. Music are blessing to the ears, boost my imagination by a lot. I haven't got a single problem with this game so far and i've been 11 hours in, and i havent event got half way yet, contents are worth investing my time in.
Im a crown loyalist, and thank you and keep the content coming cuz i love the game. Im a historian and i know that kings have a harder time/complex relationship with their wives and with their population than their enemies... youve done a great job putting depth into the struggle to rule the kingdom and historical external geographic enemies and internal disputes between different geographies of the kingdom. And historically many wives was 100% normal to secure the loyalty of each region or powerful noble family and often a low level wife could bring down the kingdom if she so wished OR she could save it from disaster if she wished.... so how shall i put this... put more women in, not just because of the intimate encounters... but the depth and true value that each queen brings to a kingdom and region.... to either making the king more powerfull or very possibly to destroy him. Also on a private level each kings harem of Queens were ALWAYS extremely competitive, jealous, cunning and in general a headache for the king... but as i said... they could also make or break his kingdom.. this game is wonderfully deep in "story rich" content... in the game... reward the player not just for moving the game forward but Queens almost NEver nice to each other or became allies... but they were ALWAYS important... so let the wives help or hinder the kingdom and "reward" the king if the player actually values each wife... the intimate encounters are much more valuable if the player has to truly work for such occasions... have a lot of queens but dont make the intimate encounters brief or easy for the gamer... reward kindness towards the queens, diligent diplomacy, and also crushing an enemy if that is truly needed... realistically historical examples of MANY kings show the depth of being brutal to enemies but also equally extravagantly kind to the wives and allies.... ESPECIALLY the wives... enemies rarely brought down other kings by direct invasion... it was much more likely that they would become arrogant and one of their wives end up destroying their husband/king... CAREFULL selection/seduction and care for wives (from powerful noble families) was critically important to consolidating and keeping power in the ancient world... this required both public and private interactions with each wife/noble family in order to secure their loyalty and diligence. i know this was originally designed to be a simple harem game... but honestly i began to value the game after the dance between the queen and king when her fire and his wind express their love... it was AMAZING and very unique... ive not seen anything like it,,, bravo to whomever designed that, i want to shake their hand... i could talk about ancient kingdoms forever but your creating a VERY good game and it could be expanded with more women... plus the game will sell better, encase you need a pragmatic reason to add more beautiful women as the king becomes more powerful. I dont know who exactly is making this game but you all have done an amazing job My best cheers
