I thought that Moon Studios is the only one great developer after i bought the game, enjoyed it in coop and seen bug fixes literally every day. When they announced a 1.0 development with lots of content before going completely silent - i thinked "well, thats fair enough, lets wait till October". Turned out they did not finished even 30% of 1.0 and moved release date for 6 months later. Instead of working on the 1.0 Thomas Mahler (studio director) doing the following : 1. Posting a "successfull life" photos in instagram from his Monaco trip and new 2026 Audi RS 6 Avant 2. Sharing a progress of another game development. 3. Offering a development help to Fable team. 4. Launching a game review/critics portals. 5. Starting a podcasts and streams where he talks about things not being related to game. In overall he is doing everything besides what he is promised. So, before buying be aware that you are buying a 40h gameplay demo which release date could be moved for another 6 months lmfao.
The game looks beautiful, The world building? Immaculate. That's where the praise starts and ends. The game is like a colonoscopy and it's the doctors first time. You're in it longer than you should be and no party is having fun during or after. Enemies scale to your level and gear so it is effectively almost null to level up. Tell me why with a max build in strength great sword. It's still take 2-3 hits to kill all basic mobs. Want to use a 2 handed weapon? You give up the ability to parry, which is where the game see's a lot of it's balance. What do you as a player receive as a trade off? A miniscule amount of damage and you won't be able to tell the difference. Let's show you this crucible style area with 10 floors. Each floor has you a high probability of getting knocked off the ledge, so start over. Make it to the end? Cool fight the boss that 2-3 hits you regardless of build. Want to go out and grind to level up? Good luck, you come back and it scales to your level so nothing has changed gameplay wise. I won't even begin to narrate the small bible that would be commenting on the crafting system. Every part of this game is designed to make you waste time in it. Want to smelt iron? Go grab it, go waste time doing skill checks so you get 2x drops otherwise you're wasting more time farming it. Now wait time for each individual iron ore to smelt. Now go grab the other 3-5 things you need to do 1 upgrade. Then do it all over again. But never forget, the enemies scale to you, so it doesn't matter if you deal more damage, they don't die any faster than they did before. Game is beautiful, and I'll change my review if the much needed balance changes occur. But I can't recommend this to the average player.

pushed the 1.0 release to march 2027 after baiting players to buy the game thinking its 1.0 release is in october 2026, shady practices of the developer, cant be trusted so uninstalling and never playing again, so many games out there that hit 1.0 runescape dragonwilds took less than 2 years to release a 1.0 no rest for the wicked is trash
Very cheap marketing done to lure people buy this game as it was promised to have full launch soon . With no updates in the game for more than 6 months and yet full launch postponed for next year in 2027, which I have a doubt.
Pure scam behavior. Two months of FOMO-baiting to push early sales, and then they hit us with a six-month delay. No wonder everyone's furious.
Literally a scam. Steam should have some policy about these situations, let us refund if the company doesn't deliver as promised, getting people to buy expecting to enjoy it soon then get them all stood up. What if they keep delaying it?
They had a "last chance to get the founders status before 1.0" sale, and then one day after the steam refund window expired, they announced a half year delay. In the span of 13 days. 1.0 also wont be content complete as they intend to finish the world map and story via post launch updates like a live service. Buyer beware.
I have just been apprised of the controversy surrounding CEO Thomas Mahler, and as much as I would like to like this game, I cannot in good conscience support such a hateful bigot. I will be requesting a refund today.
I have over 1,500 hours in this game, even bought a copy for my brother for his birthday, and I was stoked when they finally locked in a 1.0 release date. Then the delay dropped and my anticipation instantly soured. Is it childish to drop a negative review over a delay? Probably. But at this point, my heart is beating purely out of spite, and whatever the real reason is for pushing it back, it doesn't change how annoying it is. Sure, I got my money's worth out of it, so there’s that. But I won't be touching this studio's next early access release, no matter how good it looks. Does the studio give a crap about missing out on one pissed-off gamer's cash? Obviously not, but I'll take whatever petty comfort I can get knowing they aren't getting another dime from me. Look... I think it plays well as a game; but good gameplay doesn't excuse poor planning. If you give me a release date, hitting date is part of the job.
