Not gonna lie, I was VERY disapointed by the lack of replayability, hence the thumb down. I was also VERY tempted to thumb it up because i want the dev to make another one, but it looks like a LOT of people already did that. The problem is not that there aren't enough ending - there are 10+ of them or so - but the issue is the story as a whole is told in ONE playthrough. Playing more doesn't add to it. If i had know that, it would be cool, but the game give a VERY good illusion that there is more to it than what you learn in the first playthrough. And the trailer also add to that sense. In reality, it's the most linear thing you can think of. Good story though, i hope they make a sequel.
GOOD
What is there to say about it that hasn't been said: It is a Niche, yet enthralling concept executed *Almost* perfectly. The Good: - Lore and World Building creates genuine mystery, suspense and paranoia around the Epidemic. - Art Style is very well done: Not overly grim, but still quiet disturbing yet the small bright moments really shine. - Mechanics of how you interact with people are genuinely well thought out; albeit with some issues regarding predictability and linearity. - Every Ending is worth seeing, and seeking, making Re-playability genuinely fun; were the interactions of other Visitors/Guests/Random Encounters can vary greatly. - Haunting, yet Beautiful OST: Will be in rotation for many years now. - You Will Feel It. (I hope) The Bad: - Some parts of Visitor/Guests behavior and how/who shows up is predetermined, at least at the time of Review published: Usually only the first week mostly but it does extend through each playthrough. - Some People are set in their Visitor/Guest Status, with symptoms pre-fixed for each variant if they have a variant for each type they could be.; At time of the review. -These two issues are likely to be changed as its been heavily documented as possibly killing immersion. -While you can likely get multiple endings even if you use a Kombucha later into a cycle: You will most likely have to reset the game several times to get all Endings: This will inevitably become tedious, so I'd take time between full play sessions or playthroughs. (Contentious: Good and Bad depending on mindset) -While Logical and Good Play will likely succeed or make it past the first week easily 99.9% of the time: You can occasionally be railroaded through a series of decisions that will result in Inevitable failure states, though that is a partial charm of the game's random nature imo. Overall 9/10: If the next few final updates both refine and balance out Visitor/Guest Behavior and limit the linearity to only the first day which is skippable; This becomes a genuine 10/10, and even already sits amongst the best indie horror games of all time.
Kapüşonlu oç kapıya geldiği zaman oyun donuyor hala. 1 senedir aynı problem çözülmemiş şaka gibi. 2 saat mükemmel oynadım oç kapıya gelince oyun bug oldu kaldı öyle
So... you gooning?
Eh, looks like deep ocean, but its only shallow water, not worth
Game is too simple and feels as if nothing really happens. You question people, sleep, let people in, sleep, question them again, and repeat. I feel like none of it matters because at the end you can still get the good ending and replaying it isn't fun if you know what happens.
I was quite excited for this game, and I finally got round to playing it (after I completely forgot it came out, oops). However, I'm left a little dissapointed. I hoped that the Full Release would iterate a bit more on the Demo, but unfortunately not. I've collated my thoughts into a nice numbered list. 1 - I assumed Visitors would be randomised, but no. If someone is a visitor, they're always a visitor, making the game way too easy once you've encountered someone once or twice. While you always have to keep at least 1 other person in your home to prevent getting Home Invasion-ed by the Pale Man, the system becomes way too easy to game. 2 - The tests are intentionally imperfect, to heighten the feelings of uncertainty, but I hoped there would be more hints in dialogue to sus out the Visitors. But no, trial and error is all there is. While that paranioa is the whole point, it can lead to frustration when you meet someone new, only to have them die straight away since you didn't know you had visitors in your house. 3 - It felt there was a lack of variety. You always have to do the "tutorial" with the next door neighbour with every run you start, and the first 2 people at the door are always the same. While there are a lot of different Characters to meet, I might have just got unlucky and kept meeting the same group, bar 1 or 2 new ones every time. No, I'm not a Human is a great proof of concept, but the current version of the game is a bit lacking. With just a few small changes (randomised Visitor status, more hints in dialgoue), it could actually be pretty fun. As much as I hate to say it, this would be the kind of game you'd be better off reading on a Wiki, or watching a Playthrough.
