Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This game feels just.... so empty from every point of view..
Honestly Nioh2 was much better. The lack of stance split in Ninja/samurai absolutely kills most of the ninja weapons, it's a bogglingly terrible choice. Now suddenly I have the same number of skills to unlock on kusari gama but only 1 slot to put them in that they all compete for. It used to be I could have 3 skills on heavy following light attack one in each of the 3 stances, now I have to pick one, and I'm stuck with it. It doesn't feel good at all. I tried to get back into the game recently thinking maybe I had just judged it too harshly at launch but no, it just feels really bad to play. Couldn't tell you how the story stacks up, the combat is too bad for me to make it very far into the game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best CN #65, worst AU #91 · 4 markets collected
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 12.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

No performance fix 5 months after release and they're about to drop a DLC... Sad to see the series go down like this. Pitiful.
I unfortunately cannot recommend what is an incredible entry in my favorite franchise. Months and months of patches and there has been no effort from the developers to improve the worst performing game of 2026. I tried first to play on my main couch rig with Bazzite/AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D/AMD RX 9070 XT on a 4K TV. After weeks of fiddling with game and system settings, I gave up and decided it is unplayable via proton. Most of the first era is playable, but immediately upon entering the snowy region the engine crawls to a halt. I don't mind frame issues in most games, but the way Nioh 3's engine works makes performance drops painful. You'll be getting ready to deflect an incoming attack, only for a stutter to happen that slows the game to a crawl, making you miss the parry window. I eventually gave up and moved over to my development rig to play. That's Windows 11/AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D/RTX 4070 on a 1440p monitor. On my Windows machine I can at least get the game back to a playable state. Even so it takes lots of config tweaking to get the game to maintain a stable frame rate. That stability is required to play the game, the tougher bosses cannot be defeated without consistent performance. It saddens me to have to write that part of the review up front. There is so much positive I want to review about the gameplay. Especially as the step from Nioh 2 to Nioh 3. I love nearly everything about the actual game. Such a shame that most people won't even get to the point of playing given how incredibly broken the the engine is. The highlight is the split between ninja and samurai gear sets. It forces you to use a variety of playstyles and gear, as certain bosses are weaker to one style or another. The open world is fun, but I enjoyed the arcade style of levels in Nioh 1 and 2, so that isn't a huge plus for me. There are lots of little checklist items you can do around the map. It is fun to be poking around only to stumble across a major boss from the first two games wandering the woods or plains.
Sorry to say this, but I can't reccomend this game. It's a downgrade compared to the previous game in every single aspect. Open world doesn't mix well with nioh formula. NG+ feels totally pointless as well- no new high level loot, just damage sponge enemies... NG+is also extremely boring, I feel it's also a consequence of open worldness
I have no motivation to play anymore. It feels like a downgraded nioh 2 with a lot of things I didn't want. Im fine with ninja style existing, but it's at the detriment of losing tonfa, hatchets, kusa and split staff in samurai style. What the heck. Guardian Spirit skills also don't feel like a suitable replacement for yokai abilities. Usable Soul cores are ok but not the same, plus guardian spirits are style locked. Wtf. The open world is fine, better that I expected, but it is straight up worse than level based for me In nioh. It's no coincidence the best parts of the game are the crucibles and side mission scrolls which essentially operate like old nioh levels. Additionally, it's just so much easier than nioh 1 and 2 that I never really feel pressured or on the edge of my seat in the same way outside of a select few side missions. Maybe it's because I've gotten better, but nioh 2 was challenging up through the depths for me, this game never reaches the level of challenge of nioh 1 and 2 first playthrough, or the depths difficulty of nioh 2. Even with all these issues it is still nioh at the end of the day, so it's still pretty great, but why did so many things have to be downgraded/sacrificed for the sake of gimmicks? Why not add the gimmicks on instead of taking things away? It feels like every potential new feature had a cost instead of being strictly beneficial. Even with all those complaints, I still might have reccomended the game, but then we get to the preformance. It's ♥♥♥♥. Games that look way better also run better. WTF. My thoughts on the game are simmilar to dragons dogma 2, though not quite as bad. Wasted potential, worse than what came before it, and runs like ♥♥♥♥. In a similar way, there is a great game hidden underneath all that, but why should we settle for something worse than what came before? My last hope is the recent negativity surrounding dlc 1 will encourage team ninja to push the game where it should be. Let's hope that dlc 2 can right the ship, both gameplay and performance wise. But right now, I'm not gonna reccomend the game.
Fck Koei Tecmo. We are already at the first DLC and they have done absolutely nothing to optimize this mess. Game is great but don't bother giving these scumbags your money if they're not even gonna bother making the game playable for your rig.
