Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This game is not great. It's like a generic UBI game. There's no challenge nor fun combat at all. The first tutorial boss is the most challenging one. You can win every battle only with mashing buttons or spamming one strong skill. I'm not sure the game becomes more challenging after. But it takes too much time to reach there. I've already get bored. Most of enemies are from Nioh 1 and 2 so you have very few new contents in Nioh3. Performance is abysmal. I totally can't believe I need to wait loading over 30 sec even though low graphic (it looks like PS3/X360 games) and fixed 30 FPS settings. You are under pressure to search all collectable items (chests, kodama, jizo, or itachi) because they permanently boost your status but it's very not fun to do so (too repetitive). I purchased this game on 50% sale yet I regret to buy it now. I highly not recommend to buy the game if you seek another good Souls-likes.
6.5/10
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The graphics are horrible, a straight up downgrade from Nioh 2 and the performance is even worse. The gameplay isn't good enough to overlook those since everything got casualized to hell. Enemies deal 0 damage, combos are way too easy to do on samurai with the new stance moves, ninja is a complete joke that doesn't even feel fun to mash on, everything is a level below Nioh 2 and I'm not even a N2 fanboy. Team Ninja stopped making games for their actual audience and decided to cater to gamerdads that will play the game one time then forget it forever.
*Review is subject to changes As a casual player who spent 762 hours playing Nioh 2, Nioh 3 was not what I expected. Despite having good hardware specifications, the game does not run as smoothly as I would like. Even several months after release, there is still no support for FSR 4.1 or even FSR 4, with only FSR 3.1 available. To achieve better performance and image quality, players currently need to rely on third-party software such as OptiScaler. The two combat styles were very interesting at first. Samurai style appeared to focus on damage, while Ninja style emphasized speed. However, as I progressed further into the game, I realized that the combat system is designed around using both styles together. The most effective strategy is often to use Ninja style to quickly deplete an enemy's Ki, then switch to Samurai style to maximize damage while they are vulnerable to staggering. The issue is that some bosses are so fast and provide such small attack windows that remaining in Ninja style becomes the safer and more practical option. A good example is Tokugawa Kunimatsu, the boss encountered in the cellar. The open-world design was also interesting initially, but over time the enemies became repetitive and many areas began to feel lacking in variety. As someone who generally enjoys open-world games, I actually found myself preferring the mission-based structure of Nioh 2, as it offered greater environmental diversity and more varied enemy encounters. Another issue is the map system. Opening the map sometimes results in long loading times, sometimes more than 1 minute. This becomes increasingly frustrating during extended play sessions and disrupts the overall pacing of the game. If the game had been built on a newer engine, the experience would have been significantly improved, both in terms of performance and graphical quality. As it stands, the open world feels held back by technical limitations and a lack of diversity in its environments and enemy encounters. This is not to say, that I didn't enjoy the game. I did enjoy it, though the game could've been better.
the NIOH series - it is the GOAT for combat. This game included. I love it. I loved Nioh 2, and the original. This one is definitely worth the title but it is pretty different in a number of ways. If you loved the combat from the others, it is still here, but you do have to unlock stances for Samurai to get the high/mid/low the signature Nioh combat system, it doesn't take long, the game has other combat quirks for you to learn also, so it is gradual in the beginning. Experiment with other weapons. It's a fun surprise when you like one you didn't expect. The shield weapons are a blast actually, especially the Ninja variety, I recommend spending a day or two with a weapon type before giving up on it. Try to increase familiarity as often as possible because the "offering" is worth more with a weapon that has familiarity on it - so max one, max another, and another. Learn crucible skills. I think the revenants are a bit too easy in the first playthrough but I know that they can have difficulty spikes in the other games so I expect that later. It's good to earn Glory for now. Bloodedge Demon has my number though. Thanks Team Ninja for NIOH 3 :)
Editing review after I realised the lag was caused by my xbox controller (and fixed by using a cable and not bluetooth). Great game otherwise, really enjoy the combat, the depth etc.
