Review is for the Summer Sale Update (prior to current roll back): TL;DR Pre Roll Back: If you like Lethal Company, R.E.P.O. Mimesis, co-op horror "friendslop" you might like this game too. Plays up to 8 players (no bigger lobby mods necessary). Memes + Horror. TL;DR Post Roll Back: A lot of helpful features and variant maps have been removed due to review bombs with the recent update and their inability to deal with change. Night Shippers is a meme based co-op horror game in the same vein as Lethal Company (that one was semi meme based too), R.E.P.O, Mimesis, and what others would call "friendslop" with a focus on customer service. Think DoorDash/InstaCart/UberEats meets the aforementioned games. While it leans heavily into the Vietnamese theming for its locations and some jokes, there are still some meme the general public can understand like Kung Fu Hustle, Bruce Lee Flash bomb (DONT YOU BELIEVE IT), Brain Rot Tung Tung Tung, the Dancing Cockroach, and more. Even though the game introduces you with meme monsters and such, do not assume that is all the game is. There are true monsters in this game and everything is out to kill you (except maybe the Boogieman). The game is fun with friends. Plays up to 8 players (2 more players than R.E.P.O, 4 more than Mimises and Lethal Company) with adjustable difficulty, regardless of the number of players. The grind does start off slow but when you get enough money to buy a shottie, you'll be rollin in dough (provided you dont lose it). There are several maps to choose from with some variations. As well as a "Scarp Run" for when youre low on cash. Despite some glitches (some audio cutting out at times and overlapping assets causing some order issues or issues walking around), the game is good fun and the dev is responsive. I love listening to my friends scream at the cockroach. :) Post Rollback: Game was rolled back to a version that lacks the freedom to get more food if you deliver to the wrong ghost, "accidently" eat the food because youre low on health/speed, lose the food, use the food to open doors and such. I felt these aspects actually made the game easier incase you messed up and assisted you when you were in trouble. The option to choose variations of the map have also been removed. A lot of good aspects have been removed just because some people can't deal with change and a little hard work. :/ I would still recommend the game even with the rollback for the price and the entertainment with friends.
