Rebuild civilization from a single planet in Nexus Legacy, a persistent sci-fi 4X MMO. Colonize worlds, manage resources, research technologies, command fleets, forge alliances, and fight for control of a living galaxy.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
Nexus Legacy is a persistent online space strategy game about rebuilding civilization after the fall of the Nexus.
Start with a single planet, develop your economy, expand across the galaxy, research advanced technologies, build fleets, spy on rivals, raid vulnerable worlds, and fight for control of strategic regions. Every planet matters. Every fleet movement has a cost. Every mistake can become someone else’s opportunity.
The game is inspired by classic browser space strategies, but built with a modern approach: deeper logistics, commanders, planetary defense, espionage, piracy, alliances, markets, expeditions, wormholes, and long-term seasonal progression.
Build Your Empire
Develop mines, laboratories, shipyards, orbital infrastructure, colonies, moons, outposts, and sector stations. Your economy grows with every new colony, but expansion also increases the number of borders you must defend.
Command Your Fleets
Design fleets for different purposes: scouting, raiding, transport, defense, expedition, mining, siege, and alliance operations. A powerful fleet is not always the right fleet. Cargo capacity, travel time, fuel cost, range, escort composition, and target intelligence all matter.
Research Your Future
Unlock new buildings, ships, military systems, economic upgrades, logistics tools, and late-game technologies. Early progress is fast, but higher levels demand real investment and planning.
Spy, Raid, Defend
Information is a weapon. Use espionage to discover resources, fleets, defenses, and weaknesses before committing your ships. Launch attacks to break fleets and infrastructure, or raids to extract resources with ground forces and specialized support ships.
Join the Political Game
Form alliances, coordinate attacks, defend allies, trade resources, compete for territory, and participate in the shifting balance of power across multiple universes.
Explore the Unknown
Send fleets into expeditions, pirate zones, deep space anomalies, wormholes, and dangerous regions where risk and reward are never fully predictable.
Fair Monetization
Nexus Legacy does not sell resources, fleet power, combat boosts, or instant progress. Paid options focus on convenience, account services, cosmetics, and supporting development without turning strategy into a wallet contest.
A Living Universe
The galaxy keeps moving even when you log off. Fleets travel, colonies grow, rivals scout, alliances plan, and wars unfold over hours, days, and seasons. Nexus Legacy is built for players who enjoy long-term strategy, calculated risks, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing a plan come together.

Its not a good game. Very simple. If you try to play alone, you'll play 1k hours and get destroyed by someone who realizes your planets are just pinyattas for him. People attack your 100ship fleet with 1000+ force and you just dont have any answer to that. Dont pick it up, unless your friend whos in top5 guilds recommended it to you and will take care of you. Minuses: -community wont take you -you wont have a chance -simple, basicly a text game. -pvp is not fair or fun. + fun to build and get better + not demanding on computer + its free? all in all waste of 1k hours. 2nd server im playing on, I dont even wana log into the first one to micro my fleet thats gonna get destroyed the moment I go to sleep and leave it alone. I just dont have a chance against people with 10-100 times more power going after me for a planets in the pvp zones (And you need those.) You'll get month of progress wiped out, with your whole fleet doing 0 damage to your attacker. This game is fun and worthwhile for about 200 top players, if you aint them you're just cattle. Top players are ingroups going from game to game, GL getting in. If you ever played travian and got destroyed by some nerd after 3 weeks of playing every day without any chance to fight back, you know the feeling. Feels like the devs took travian and put it to space and just fixed absolutely nothing thats wrong with the game.

It was fun while it lasted, boys. Have fun playing your glorified waiting sim with zero risks in the game for the top 0.5% of alliances

Still under development but it looks like a very promising successor to ogame. WITHOUT pay2win!!!
Game is sadly done. Good Dev, a lot of polls and good intake of ideas. Sadly, game in the persistent universe has already turned into a r***-fest for all the big alliances to be allied with each other and farming the lower people, so game play loop is to just work all day to save your resources while you cannot crush the bigger fleets. I am not talking about being weaker than someone, i am talking one player of the Top10 alliance has bigger fleet then 50 members of a 10-20 ally together. Unbeatable, sadly, and therefore i deleted my profile to not be a dead farm for them after leaving the game :=)
This isn't the place for beginners and solos.
The game mechanics are designed to create a growing disparity among players.
Progressive Inequality:
Uncapped Snowball Effect Fleet size directly multiplies farming speed, creating a positive feedback loop that makes early leaders mathematically uncatchable.
Hard Progression Lockout:
Restricting endgame resource visibility and access to only large territory holders creates a glass ceiling that halts progression for solo players and small to mid-sized guilds. Controlling stations grants access to the rarest resources and provides a bonus to their extraction. This is an absurd mechanic. Stations should actually be expensive to maintain. Alternatively, everyone should have full access to rare resources.
Monopolistic Stagnation:
The absence of negative scaling (e.g., territory upkeep costs) or asymmetric counterplay ensures that the first dominant alliances will permanently secure the server, ultimately killing the economy. Belonging to a large alliance offers unbeatable bonuses and no penalties. However, there is nothing to balance this out for solo players and small alliances. However, it’s clear that such a mechanic is necessary.

Most people want consensual PvP where the timing of the fight is known in advance, like battles over stations or other objectives.

The new, much longer travel time introduced on August 2nd makes this game unplayable and impossible to enjoy.
oldschool ogame vibes, very active dev.
