Fun game get it on sale
Necromunda: Hired Gun? That’s not a game. That’s a malfunctioning trash compactor pretending to be a shooter. They promised me chaos. They promised speed. Power. Carnage. Instead, what did I get? A clunky, bug-ridden tech demo duct-taped together by people who clearly wouldn’t recognize intensity if it punched them through a wall. Let’s talk about the gunplay. Oh boy. I’ve seen laser tag games with more punch. The weapons feel like plastic toys, no recoil, no weight, no violence. I pull the trigger and I’m expecting devastation. Instead? A limp sound effect and a barely twitching enemy who stands there like he’s waiting for a lunch order. Are you kidding me? When I shoot something, I want it erased. I want scorched earth. Instead, I get sparks and disappointment. Movement? Laughable. It’s like they copied Doom Eternal and then ran it through a meat grinder. Wall-running? Feels like you’re ice skating on a lag spike. Double-jumping? Useless. The whole system is so floaty and disconnected, it’s like you’re piloting a corpse on a bungee cord. I’ve seen more coordination in a toddler’s tantrum. And that dog. That useless cyber-mutt. Everyone raved about it like it was your trusty companion. No. It’s a bugged-out liability with fur. I called it into battle once. It barked, clipped through a wall, and got stuck in the floor. That’s not backup. That’s a design failure with four legs. Visually? It’s industrial vomit. Every level is the same: rust, pipes, more rust, and broken textures. You can practically smell the copy-paste. The art direction screams "generic sci-fi shooter made by committee." There’s no atmosphere. No identity. Just noise. And not the good kind. And don’t even get me started on the AI. These goons run at you in a straight line like they’re begging to be put out of their misery. You want to feel like a god? Then give me enemies that earn their deaths. Not zombies with guns that walk into bullets like it’s a group therapy exercise. This game doesn’t respect your time, your intelligence, or your trigger finger. It wants you to think you’re a mercenary in the deadliest city in the Warhammer universe. But instead, you’re a janitor with a gun, cleaning up broken dreams and particle effects.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

its like doom but in 40k combat is quick and reminds of titanfall but the voice acting is funny to say the least , play it for the gameplay not for the story
A different opinion
I see many negative reviews for this, and yes I do agree that the game is far from the best Warhammer universe game, however, it is enjoyable with the normal level of Warhammer violence, dark environments I fail to really be negative. sure the story is bland, combat is not exactly fantastic etc but it is just another welcome addition to the dark world that is Warhammer in my opinion.
===2025-06-15: 07/10=== It's at times like this where it kind of sucks that Steam doesn't have a "Middle-of-the-road", "Fence-sitter" option. Overall, I'd say I had fun. Gunplay is alright when you're using the right guns, kind of terrible when you're not. ADS is not viable at all, never do it. The abilities are pretty fun. I do wish there were more, or that the existing ones had more to them, but it is what it is. It's a pretty short game. Finished it just under 10 hours according to Steam, and that's somewhat padded by a bad habit of leaving games open in the background while I go and do other stuff. The most egregious thing is definitively the lighing though. It's actually so bad. It becomes specially bad in the mission near the end, with the lightning strikes. There's a lot of things in this game that actually hurt my eyes to look at. Despite all that and more, I don't really want to give a negative review, because it was kind of dumb fun for while it lasted.
Fun but very flawed - its a passing grade with some replayability.
