Nancy Drew®: The Silent Spy

Overall I really enjoyed this nancy drew game. The story is really good and the puzzles are quite fun. I've played it twice so that shows how much I enjoyed it.

One of the best ND games <3

I've been a fan of Nancy Drew my entire life. When I wanted something simple to play for a weekend activity, I looked up people's favorite Nancy Drew games and this popped up as "having the best story". I cannot explain how much I agree - getting to have this story about Nancy's mom, Kate, and her efforts to stop bio-terrorism are definitely complimentary to difficult puzzles and mind games that happen within this game. You discover not only a recently re-activated plot for bio-terrorism in Scotland, but also go through the motions of a girl who grieves her mother's death (with the added stress and fear and grief and love from Nancy's dad, Carson, over the phone). The puzzles are hard, the word games and passwords are tricky, and the story is incredible, with real and meaningful connections with characters and the obvious Nancy Drew shenanigans like zip-lining across a courtyard to get into someone's hotel room.

This is one of my favorite Nancy Drew games because if feels like you have more freedom than you do with how many different types of mini games there are. However, the ending leaves something to be desired. Those who have played this game know what that something is.

This is more of a fast-moving game than others. There is less conversational tasks, you get to jump right into the action and the plot of the game. It is a different storyline that has a darker side to some of Nancy's past and her family and friends. For instance, it includes some flashbacks to Nancy's childhood; it even humanized her parents showing that they argued and had their own disagreements. So far, it has had a good balance of places to explore, puzzles to solve, and different people to get to know/snoop on.
