Oh baby! Another banger! This one had big shoes to fill in following up Shadow at the Water's Edge and it certainly did a good job of it! The danger feels real at times, the characters all feel like they could be the culprit, the story/lore are front and centre, the puzzles are fun and engaging (for the most part) and I still think about the minigames from this one. Not to mention the S-tier soundtrack! Only real criticism is that there are a couple stinkers in the puzzle department but those are few and far between. Overall, this one's in my top 5 Nancy Drew games 9/10
I actually really enjoyed the game. I first played this game a few years after it came out, and at the time it was one of my favorite Nancy Drew games. The bad German accent in this game makes it really funny. For Karl's board game, for some reason, the "hard" difficulty is a lot easier for me than the "easy" I kept losing every round on easy mode.

One of the best Nancy Drew games I've played! The characters are all very developed, as is the story/mystery, and it has a lot of information about German folklore. The games and clues are difficult, but not so convoluted that you can't figure it out yourself, even as a senior detective. This one is a great addition to any Nancy Drew fan's collection.
Classic Nancy Drew! Fun puzzles and games within the game, with a spooky castle ambiance...Can't ask for much more from these wonderful games. The game runs and plays without glitches or errors, and it does not require the internet to play (hallelujah!). One of the best games in the series, and seriously under-recognized. Great twist at the end!
THIS ONE IS TOTALLY MY SECOND FAV GAME. im like half german so i really connect to the people ya know
mostly positive experience, better than I expected, puzzles are top tier.
Great game in Nancy Drew series. Cozy atmosphere inside the castle combined with chilling ambience outside. The puzzles are quite interesting. The story is OK (motive and everything-being-in-one-evening-frame is questionable). Board games, that are in main focus here, are also interesting until they become tedious for Awards completion. You have to play "Monster" to obtain the full deck of cards for Raid board game, but in 1-2 rounds it's possible to develop a pattern for beating every round on Hard difficulty. A round of "Raid" board game simply takes too much time and heavily based on luck and randomness. Although the game was released in 2011, it still lacks FHD resolution support. HER Interactive should consider making a remaster for the whole series with 1080p/4K support.
It's not a bad game, it's just kinda slow I guess? The puzzles are not terribly challenging (with the exception of the decoder puzzles - yikes). The characters are okay, I guess to sum it up this game is AVERAGE.
The game was arduous and tedious. Also, it was very bizarre. The subplot involving Nancy Drew's relationship issues felt absurd and entirely unnecessary. The best part was purchasing snacks from the food machine at the gift shop.
LOVE THIS ONE!!! so cozy and fun. took me about 5 hours to complete
